    Counter-Protest Rally In Centennial Park Fort Myers, FL

    A local radio talk show host, Mandy Connell, on WINK 1240/1270-AM, is promoting the event.

    Counterprotestors will be signing petitions to send to Florida legislators, to get tough on illegal immigration.

    The event starts at 12:00PM, and I'll be there. I don't have to be in work until 2:30PM anyway. I've already visited Senator Nelson's office, who's up for re-election, and let them know; I'll be voting only for politicians who get tough on illegal immigration.

    The real voters are fed-up and are not going to take it any more.

    Way to go. Thats really great news. Trying to see if we can work our schedules to where we can make an appearance. Wonder if the counter protest will get any media coverage...like the one in E. Ft. Myers did.

    I too have contacted Senator Nelson and also Mel Martinez. Not in person but by e-mail and fax. No response yet from Nelson although I did get one from Martinez. Alot of us are weary of all the political posturing. We are fed up and want answers and actions not empty talk.

    Thnks for the heads up on the counter protest. Had not heard about it.

    Received a letter from both Nelson and Foley but as of yet nothing from Martinez.
    When did you hear about this? wonder if it will be on the news tonight...
