The PROBLEM lies with the large ranches that need the rio grande for their cattle and they're fighting against any wall.
Can you share more details on this ?

I've known ranchers pretty well. Most of them hate what the Illegals have done.

IS the implication of the wall to be, that they cannot build an irrigation canal to get access to the Rio Grande while securing the border ?

THAT - would seem to be the subject for a lawsuit against the government based on the kind of fence to be built, but until then, they could build their own wall, and design it to let water in, and people out.

After all, the LAST thing that anyone wants is for the Ranchers to get hurt.

We've got a mix in the border states. Some of the ranchers are advocating the walls as they've finally gotten tired of losing their cattle and all the rest that goes on. These seem to be the smaller guys.

We've got some larger guys who don't want the obstruction as their cattle use the RG. From the sketchy info that I have, what I'm hearing is that to block the RG would cause a large financial loss ....they need the water for their larger herds.

Crazy though, is that mex cattle, diseased are coming over more often and now can begin to infect our cattle. They're intermingling in greater numbers now.

Synopsis: smaller guys are more willing and larger guys don't want the financial burden concerning new water.

*** My point above, which is imo, important and one I've been talking about for years, is the possibility of law suits. As I said, local/state/federal. And yes, we'd need a basketful of lawyers. But, hey, we have to start somewhere.

If an Illegal can sue, an American can sue. Darn, the Illegals are suing states! This is a target rich area from which to chose.

Does Alipac have a lawyer contact strategy ?

Do they have a list of pre-requisites to rule out bad lawyers ?

Do they have a set of criteria of how to chose them ?

Do they have a list of the top 100 issues to have a lawyer sue about ?

What about "Land rights" lawyers, who would NOT have any ties to oil & gas ?

    etc,

There is one group, that maybe could help, with the expertize, and the budget:

    The Paragon Foundation:

    About the Paragon Foundation

The Paragon Foundation, a 501-C(3) not-for-profit organization, was created in 1996 to support the advancement of the fundamental principals articulated by the United States' founding fathers in both the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution.

This was the vision of Paragon's founding father, Tom Linebery, an early leader in the property rights movement and a staunch advocate of ranchers and landowners. A proud American, Tom believed that it was the responsibility of government to protect the rights of fellow Americans, as written in the Constitution. Furthermore, he also believed that it was the responsibility of every American to make sure the government remained true to its purpose. Tom understood that knowledge was power and he sought to arm fellow landowners with the information and negotiating skills necessary to protect their property.

In this same spirit, Paragon pledges to work diligently to bring individuals and organizations together in the hopes of developing effective tactics and strategies that will assist in disseminating knowledge and information to those who will best benefit.
