And this is how.... the only way Hastert doesn't TURN, is if the Reps turn on him enough to make him fearful of losing his position.

He's pulled stunts all along with many issues and caved when bush forced his hand.

Remember, bush sent his power boys to the hill to knock the tar out of the Reps over this. Hastert is a weak link and is going to have to be strong armed to keep from caving. Question is: who's got a stronger arm, bush & gang or the good guys?

I sure wouldn't want him watching my back.

Called Hastert's office today to urge that he stand ground with the House position that an amnesty reward for current illegal Aliens is unacceptable and critically damaging to the U.S. and having no immigration reform bill is better than a bad bill.

Also called him today because it was just a couple days ago that a seedy little action was done by the White House by sending Karl Rove over to the House to convince House Republicans that a "comprehensive" immigration bill should be passed -- and by the way, it's OK now to do amnesty because Bush has the Border "secured" with a few national guard in the wrong spot, who can't arrest illegals.

While we are focused on the Senate here is the white house going over to the House to cut secret deals and talk poison for Americans.

Also called Majority Leader Boehner's office ---- the bad Senate bill and the storm is coming for the House.

Also recall that Hastert became a pivotal accomplice under heavy White House pressure (better do what Emporer Bush tells you) in passing CAFTA.

See, they think and put Republican Party ahead of U.S. Nation --- this is a huge majority of the problem on many issues.
