    Do Democrats Support Illegal Immigration?

Serious question: Refusal to distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants is glaring

    June 3, 2016
    by Edmund Kozak

What’s the difference between an illegal alien and a legal immigrant? Apparently nothing, according to Democrats.

Thanks to Donald Trump’s successful campaign for the GOP nomination, which highlighted the danger illegal aliens pose to innocent, law-abiding Americans and the U.S. economy, illegal immigration is at the forefront of the current election.

But the Democrats’ continued refusal to acknowledge the inherent differences between those who immigrate to the U.S. legally and illegally has grown to such an extent that anyone of sound mind is forced to wonder if they actually support illegal immigration.

When Trump first announced his presidential campaign, he commented on the serious crime endemic to vast swathes of the illegal alien population from Central and South America. As if on cue, the Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media erupted with cries of “racism.”

Despite the fact that it was clear that Trump’s comments were referring specifically to illegal aliens from Mexico, Democrats (not to mention a few Establishment Republicans) reacted as if he were speaking about all Mexicans everywhere.

“Donald Trump says Mexican people are criminals,” reads a Hillary campaign e-mail from December 2015. Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of the popular musical Hamilton, speaking at a commencement ceremony in May, described 2016 as “a year when politicians traffic in anti-immigrant rhetoric.” Once again, the refusal to distinguish between illegal and legal immigration is glaring.

Jorge Ramos, self-appointed generalissimo of the Mexican reconquista, said in an August 2015 interview that Trump is “promoting in his speeches bigotry and hatred against immigrants and Latinos.” In his mind, recognizing that many illegal immigrants are in fact criminals seems to be the same as “promoting bigotry.”

While it would be easy to dismiss such misleading descriptions of Trump’s words as simply cynical abuse of language intended to deceive voters of Trump’s true intentions, other evidence suggests that Democrats themselves are unwilling or unable to distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants — or at the very least wish everyone else would stop doing so.

The most glaring example of this is the torture inflicted upon the English language so that voters forget that illegal aliens — even so-called “law-abiding” ones — are in fact criminals. Indeed, it was once completely reasonable and accepted to describe foreign aliens who illegally crossed the U.S. border and are residing illegally in the U.S. as what they are: illegal aliens.

Illegal alien was dropped eventually for illegal immigrant, but even that wasn’t enough for the P.C. police in the Democratic Party. Now, we are told, they are in fact “undocumented immigrants.” Undocumented, of course, sounds as if the only thing separating them from legal immigrants is a few bits of paper that old Uncle Sam just forgot to give them.

In a shameless perversion of both fact and language, some of the more extreme proponents of mass immigration have even begun calling illegal aliens “undocumented Americans” or “undocumented citizens.” Of course, they are neither American nor American citizens, but this is of little consequence to proponents of mass migration. “No human being is illegal,” claimed Ramos in an interview with Chris Cuomo.

In March, Clinton pledged that she "would not deport children. I do not want to deport family members, either," and said she would leave alone any illegal alien without a criminal record. This would be a direct continuation of President Obama's policies.

In 2014, when announcing sweeping executive action on immigration, effectively granting 5 million illegal aliens the ability to remain in the country — now being challenged in the Supreme Court — Obama said he wished to target "felons, not families. Criminals, not children. Gang members, not a mom who's working hard to provide for her kids."

But the fact is that the mom who's working hard to provide for her kids is still a criminal if she is residing in this country illegally, and to pretend otherwise — let alone offer her amnesty — is an insult to the legion of hardworking moms who waited patiently, sometimes for years, to immigrate to the U.S. legally.

To the Democrats, such distinctions are irrelevant, however. Their desire to see more non-white, liberal-leaning voters ready and willing to play into their destructive identity politics trumps all.

Certainly misconstrued to conveniently arm a complete ethnicity against a candidate or party. Technically, all illegals have entered the country illegally which would make them all criminals. Technically, many illegals have committed document fraud, which would make them a criminal. Technically, income tax evasion is a crime in this country which would also qualify for criminal behavior. Technically, there are a lot of other activities many are engaged in that can be criminal, maybe not violent, but criminal.....use your imagination. Legal immigrants are off limits and stand strong against the illegal immigrants, wonder why? We should all be treated the same.

Dem's view this problem to their own advantage and misrepresent the status. There is some sort of back room deal on how they will eventually vote. Desperate Americans doing despicable things.
