Jeff Sessions would be fantastic. He is a conservative and a true American patriot. He works quietly behind the scenes. What a great man.
On the other hand, Huckabee is part of the reason Obama is president.

    By Matthew Cover

(CNSNews.com) – Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and South Carolina GOP Chairman Katon Dawson are just two of the names being circulated as possible candidates for the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee (RNC), CNSNews.com has learned.

Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) said that Gingrich’s name had been mentioned in party discussions about who might lead the Republican Party in the next year.

    “Newt’s name came up,â€

    OK....Huckabee is out!!!

Jeff Sessions is fantastic.....but we need him where he is....on the inside in the Senate speaking out against the Democrats and their "comprehensive immigration reform" bills that they are sure to try to slip through again next year (but without Kennedy's ranting and raving on the Senate floor).

Just thought of someone else! What about J. D. Hayworth (AZ) or Tim O'Hare (Farmers Branch)??

The list of qualified people grows shorter every year.

I agree that the GOP needs a ned chairman. Mike Duncan is an idiot. His service in the GOP has allowed some miserable choices of Republican presidential candidates over the past 16 years alone.

I have heard for a long time now that Huckabee is a fraud. I have heard that it is his fault Romney did not win the primary.

I know that Huckabee was not strong against illegal immigration, but I also found that he had a drastic change of mind on that issue, and became very strong against illegal immigration as he began to study the issue more.

Can someone show me for a FACT that he is pro amnesty?

This has been bothering me for some time now. I am not so sure that he is as bad as he has been painted......But on the other hand, he may be.

If I could see the words out of his own mouth, that he is against our belief on illegal immigration, I could rest easy, and give up on him totally.
Ron Paul in 2011 "[...]no amnesty should be granted. Maybe a 'green card' with an asterisk should be issued[...]a much better option than deportation."

Newt Gingrich would be my first selection. Also like Bobby Jindal.

Am also hearing Newt Gingrich's name for RNC. His time as House Speaker in the 90's, butting heads with Clinton (Clinton's impeachment), in-fighting in his own party, and his eventual resignation after being re-elected, had its moments...but his accomplishments since then are commendable. He is a very interesting and knowledgeable speaker. He certainly knows his history and the Constitution. I would put him on the "short list" of RNC.
