    Free speech has nothing to do with it. If you want free speech you can start your own website and say whatever you want.

    The power of a forum like this -- or of any forum -- lies in the wisdom of the moderaters to edit the parameters of reasonable dialogue. Can you think of any newspaper or magazine that doesn't do that? Why should a website be any different.

    There are always lines to be drawn. For example: if somebody is spewing lies and propaganda, should the moderater allow him the "free speech" to do so? Likewise, if certain lines of discussion are not pragamatic, if they're just going to turn people against the cause of fighting illegal immigration, why should a moderator tolerate this kind of counter-productive stuff?
