Besides, if other cultures are better at understanding other cultures such as ours, they wouldn't be calling us racists

    Well...........

I have no problem learning about other countries. It is interesting. My husband is from another country and knows more about American history than I do (shame on me). However, I DO have a problem with people from another country coming into MY country and trying to tell us how to run it, how to live and what language we should speak! You cannot tell me that other countries would not be totally pissed off if someone came into their country and did the same and that goes for Mexico as well! None of us are going down to Mexico, etc., and telling you how to run your country and what language to speak! At least not the American people! If I want to learn another language that is my option, but I WILL NOT HAVE ANOTHER LANGUAGE FORCED DOWN MY THROAT! I love my country and she is not perfect. There are a lot of problems (mainly our stupid government), but we as a people are good, compassionate and empathic. However, illegals, politicians and big corporations will get no empathy or compassion from me. I am for the American people and that includes LEGAL citizens! This is not arrogance. We are trying to preserve and protect our country and our way of life. Are you going to tell me you would not do the same? If not, then I guess you owe no loyalty to anyone but yourself. That's pretty sad.

The problem is not English only laws....the problems are Spanish radio and television and Catholic mass in Spanish and stores that now have things in the store in both languages. Ever watch Univision or telemundo? Big time advertisers are there...Ford, GM, Hyundai, Toyota, Wal-mart and so on and so forth. it is about capturing the illegals money and nothing else. So yes, they are being catered to! Why learn English when you are catered too? This is the major problem folks! Italian immigrants in 1910 had no Italian RADIO or TV!

The best thing for you folks in Carolina del Norte to do....(North carolina!) is to pass laws making bi-lingual education ILLEGAL as it was in California, Arizona and Massachussetts. You need to be screaming at your school board meetings against the hiring of Spanish speaking teachers. English as a second language yes! Your schools IF you have to educate them need to IMMERSE them in English not Spanish. it is called ENGLISH IMMERSION don't be confused. La Raza and these other groups will try and get teachers from Mexico! California and Colorado have even BROUGHT Spanish speaking teachers here at taxpayer expense that is how silly this has become!! Don't let your schools rot because of this!

Does North Carolina have anti-bilingual laws on the books? You had better call Ron Unz of Califronia NOW while you can!!

YOu know that is true, the only time they air most commercials that encourage latinos to learn english, are late at night. My father and I are amazed because we only watched american tv. In Chile, they show american movies in english with spanish caption at the bottom of the screen. Some of the english classes, computer program, etc advertise for one one month, year, whatever for free. I sometimes wonder why they even bother spending money on ads encouraging them to learn english with the incentive of success to their audience who is 80% mexican - who could care less about education anyway since their kids are learning english in our schools and can interpret for them anywhere. What is the need? They brainwash their kids that as parents, they cannot learn english(even those who are only in their 20's.) and that as children it is their responsibility to be bilingual so mexicans can take back the land stolen from them and they know that just by being bilingual, they can get trained for jobs that some americans have to go to college for thanks to the corporate elites wanting to profit off of illegal aliens.
