Exclusive– Ann Coulter: Trump Must Declare Wall ‘Compassionate Solution’ to Border Crisis

Ahead of his Oval Office address on the southern border crisis, New York Times best-selling author and populist conservative columnist Ann Coulter says President Donald Trump must make the case to the American people that the border wall is the “compassionate solution” to stopping wage-crushing illegal immigration.

During an exclusive interview on SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight, Coulter said Trump must make the humanitarian case for ending illegal immigration straight to the American people, noting that amnesty for illegal aliens must immediately be ruled out.
    Coulter said:

I would also go to all of the working class that are in America, construction workers in particular
. Their salaries have not just stagnated, they have gone down in the last 20 years. These are the least among us. We are the only ones not speaking out of self-interest. [Emphasis added]

Most of the people who are advocating for open borders … they have a vested in interest in having either the cheap labor or the Democratic voters. Their neighborhoods aren’t the ones being overwhelmed. They get the cheap maids, the cheap nannies, and then they strut around like they’re Martin Luther King. [Emphasis added]

No, you are talking in your self-interest, Chamber of Commerce, and Koch brothers, and Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer. It’s Donald Trump and our side who are actually caring about our fellow Americans — the kids who are getting addicted to black tar heroin. [Emphasis added]

The heroin problem in this country is 100 percent a problem of not having a wall on the border. And 70,000 Americans are dying every year. That’s more that died in the entire Vietnam War. That is a national emergency. [Emphasis added]

Coulter said Trump must make clear that it is the open borders lobby, corporate interests, and billionaire donor-class who benefit from mass illegal immigration while working and middle-class Americans are left suffering from its consequences.

“The wall is the compassionate solution,” Coulter said. “The people who don’t want a wall are absolutely selfish, they are in it for themselves. They are in it for the cheap labor; they are in it for the votes.”

“They don’t care about African Americans, they don’t care about Hispanic Americans,” Coulter continued. “They don’t care about the most voiceless Americans out there who are dying from heroin, who can’t support their families because they can’t get a good paying job because they’re being undercut by illegal aliens and all the cheap labor, legally, at the same time … they have no compassion for the women and children being raped and abused by the cartels.”

“This is a national emergency for the people who don’t have lobbyists in Washington,” Coulter said.

Coulter said that aside from American workers and the country’s working and middle class, Trump should speak directly to black American communities who have seen the most adverse impact of unchecked immigration, more than any other demographic.

“I would talk about the black underclass who don’t have jobs because they are being undercut,” Coulter said. “Right as the Civil Rights bill is passed … right, as they’re breaking into the middle class and the federal government, is demanding that they be given their share of the American dream, Teddy Kennedy’s immigration act dumps 30 million low-wage workers on the country, undercutting their wages at every turn.”

Every year, the U.S. admits about 1.1 million mostly low-skilled legal immigrants, many of whom immediately become low-wage competition for America’s working and middle class. The latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau marks a nearly 108-year record high of immigration to the country. In 2017, the foreign-born population boomed to 13.7 percent, encompassing 44.5 million immigrants.

The Washington, DC-imposed policy of mass immigration is a boon to corporate executives, Wall Street, big business, and multinational conglomerates, as every one percent increase in the immigrant composition of each occupation’s labor force reduces those Americans’ hourly wages by 0.4 percent. Every one percent increase in the immigrant workforce reduces Americans’ overall wages by 0.8 percent.

No more overbreeding poor cheap labor foreigners coming to our country.

Our local Wal-mart is putting in THIRTY self serve check registers. More jobs in our community will be lost. Stores are shutting down!

Companies are not going to pay higher minimum wages to low skill workers...they WILL automate and put in more self serve kiosks.

Farmers need to automate and write off the equipment.

WE ARE SICK OF PICKING UP THE TAB FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS AND FOREIGNERS HEALTHCARE, WELFARE, FOOD STAMPS, CRIME, COURT, LAWSUITS, JAILS, PRISONS, LAWYERS, ANCHOR BABIES!!!

It's funny you should mention those self serve check out lines at Wal-Mart. My local Wal-Mart just put in about 10 of them this past week or so. I guess it's a national thing. I told my wife not to use them because it was just Wal-Mart's way of increasing profits at the expense of hard working Americans! Like you said, fewer employees needed means fewer jobs in the community.

Most of the folks working those jobs in my area seem to be retirees. I'm assuming that is because their social security checks just aren't enough to pay the bills.

    Pelosi, Schumer, and anti-Trump hysteria

Schumer's and Pelosi's opposition to the wall fails even on its own terms.

    January 8, 2019
    By Rick Hayes

With the new Congress getting settled in and the Democrats now in control of the House while a partial government shutdown exists, there appears to be no call for reasonable conversations and compromise from the Democratic side regarding the construction of a border wall. No pun intended, but it seems that the Democrats have initiated a "Mexican standoff."
Senator Chuck Schumer and newly reappointed House speaker Nancy Pelosi have consistently made two arguments as to why they will not acquiesce to President Trump's request for five billion dollars to construct the wall. On the one hand, both have cited the president's campaign promise, where he stated that Mexico would pay for the wall, so from their vantage point, funds from U.S. taxpayers should not be needed.
Forgetting the fact that Trump may have a plan where Mexico will pay for the wall at some future point, resenting allegedly modified or amended campaign promises is not a rational reason to put American citizens in harm's way. But in the interest of consistency, what are the excuses Schumer and Pelosi have for continuing to back the Affordable Care Act even though President Obama blatantly and routinely lied to the American people about being allowed to keep their doctors?

Perhaps the rigid stand against the president's security assessment stems from Schumer's and Pelosi's assumption that they have much more experience in dealing with security issues than does Trump. Both Schumer and Pelosi have contended that a wall would not stop the flow of illegal aliens from entering the country, even though Border Patrol agents on the ground, who are in the best possible position to judge what works, disagree. It should also be noted that in 2013, Schumer voted for eight billion toward building or repairing 700 miles of fencing. That's three billion dollars more than what Trump is asking for. So somehow, over the past several years, the border's fencing must have repaired itself, because Schumer now declares that 1.6 billion dollars in additional security enhancements would be all that is needed to secure America's southern border.
There is no question that these two seasoned politicians have a far more impressive track record than Trump regarding decisions dealing with safety and security around the world. For example, both Schumer and Pelosi agreed with President Obama's actions for limited military intervention in Libya, which led to the execution of Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi, setting Libya on a path to a chaotic civil war. Obama later admitted that this was the biggest mistake of his presidency, one that ultimately resulted in the death of a U.S. ambassador and three brave Americans in Benghazi. But what difference does that make?
When Obama announced his plan to cut U.S. troops in Iraq to 50,000 in his efforts to end U.S. involvement, Schumer and Pelosi thought the troop number too high but agreed with the withdrawal. That decision resulted in the rise of ISIS and the start of a bloodbath of Iraqi citizens, the genocide of hundreds of thousands of Christians, and the establishment of a radical Islamic caliphate. But at least their intentions were good.
In short, Schumer's and Pelosi's track record for what is needed for adequate security has resulted in millions of dead bodies, U.S. military intervention, and one of the worst refugee catastrophes in recorded history. So it stands to reason that even with that kind of disastrous record, the leftist news media would support any idea these two Democrats have if it runs counter to the plans of President Trump.
