Thread: FOX NEWS MONITORING NEEDED

Friends,

Please monitor Fox News and let us know if they are covering the impending Dream Act Amnesty vote or not. Last time they let us down and this time we are trying to get them to warn Americans before the vote.

Please monitor Fox and let us know the following.

1. Let us know if you monitor for more than an hour or so and hear no mention of the Dream Act Amnesty.

2. If you hear mention of the Dream Act Amnesty please post here with the following info.

A. What was said?
B. What show was it?
C. Who were the guests or sources?
D. What time was the broadcast and length of segment?

We all know that Newscorp / Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch supports Dream And Comprehensive Amnesties and that Geraldo does as well. Someone said that they had Bill Oreilly on board as well.

We need accurate Fox News monitoring immediately.

Senate Republicans Vow to Block Dem Legislation Until Tax Cuts, Budget Pass

Every Senate Republican has signed onto a letter vowing to block all Democratic-backed legislation until the chamber extends the Bush tax cuts and approves a spending bill to keep the government running, Fox News has learned.

Throwing down the gauntlet, all 42 members of the GOP caucus are sending the letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid warning him that they will bring matters to a standstill unless he swiftly brings those tax-and-spending issues to the floor.

That means putting on the backburner a push to repeal the military's policy banning gays from serving openly in the military, a bill giving illegal immigrant students and military members a pathway to legal status and an extension of long-term unemployment benefits.

Fox News just reported that all Republicans are united against any legislation that doesn't have anything to do with jobs and the economy. Well, the Republicans must have just decided that as some of them voted for the Food Safety Act.

I think the Food Safety bill may come back - there is a problem with it. It has Tax provisions in and Tax stuff can only originate in the House. THe House could BLUE SLIP the bill ( i.e. refuse to accept the Senate Version) but pass their own version ( probably identical to the Senate) but make the Senate vote on it again due to the BLUE Slip provision.

Fox News is reporting a lot about the Republicans standing firm against legislation like the Dream Act and Don't Ask Don't Tell. It looks like this will be their lead story today.

That is great Tiny! I hope they stay standing strong! Lets keep the pressure on though......you never know!

Chris Sidell just told Jenna that the GOP would not budge on any issues until they resolve the tax cuts and unemployment benefits. That they would stop any filibuster! Are the Republicans holding dream act and don't ask,don't tell hostage for these tax cuts for the rich?

John Cornyn(R) on Happening Now echoes that Republicans will not agree to any legislation until the tax cuts issue is taken care of. Joe Lieberman also says he will vote to extend all tax cuts temporarily. Jon Scott showed a clip of a pissed off Harry Reid when he talked about the letter from Republicans saying they'll block any legislation that doesn't meet their priorities like the tax cut issue.
