    Check the latest...

    UNITED STATES REPRESENTATIVE 48th District
    Vote Count Percentage
    JOHN CAMPBELL (REP) 33592 50.7%
    STEVE YOUNG (DEM) 17373 26.2%
    JIM GILCHRIST (AI) 13637 20.6%
    BÉA TIRITILLI (GRN) 998 1.5%
    BRUCE COHEN (LIB) 702 1.1%

Oddly enough, NONE of the LOCAL stations are reporting on the fact that there is an important election going on in O.C. Let alone the fact that that an AI candidate...I.E Jim Gilchrist is only a few points away from overtaking the DEM ...hhhmmm Ros Perot comes to mind...why would the congressman from the 48th district(cox) be appointed to chairman of the SEC? (securitys and exchange commission) the stock market cops? leaving the position of congressman open to a "heated election"?

    More later...

Updated again, 18% with 110 reporting out of 268.

    JOHN CAMPBELL (REP) 35719 47.9%
    STEVE YOUNG (DEM) 20532 27.6%
    JIM GILCHRIST (AI) 16422 22.0%
    BÉA TIRITILLI (GRN) 1069 1.4%
    BRUCE COHEN (LIB) 766 1.0%

I want Campbell to at least win with less than 50% and that looks like it is happening.

He wins less than 50% is going to be a questionable position.

Campbell, is claming victory since the absentees ballots came out. He might win but i hope it will be a hard less than 50%.

I guess all districts are reporting in, but only 23% as of 1045pm.
