Thread: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I Never Knew

Just had my doorbell ring, it was the Foreman for the 4 man Roofing Crew. he was Mexican, barely able to SPEAK English. Asked me to pull my car out of the garage, so they could move old shingles.
The roofing company I hired WAS LOCAL!!!!!!!! At least they claimed to be.
WHAT DO I DO??????????????????????

Help PLEASE> Do I call ICE? The Roofing Comp.? What, I want American Labor doing this work not Mexicans.... FOR GODS SAKE, THIS IS SOUTH DAKOTA!

Call the roofing co. and ask if these workers are all legally allowed to work in the US, and that you need to see SSN's on all of these people working on your property!

And know this because it's true a lot of companies don't have workman's comp insurance on these employees and if something happens they can sue your home owners insurance!

And know this to be true also they "Do Not" nail on the nail line which makes the factory warranty null and void, and because they refuse to nail on the factory nail line they're workman ship does not stand the test of time you'll be lucky to get half the life of the shingles!

I always tell them before the fact that only American workers are allowed to work on my property. Any race of American workers are fine, but no hablo and no moneyO.

One of the major home improvement stores tried to send an illegal workforce to my properties once, but I sent them away.

The next day they sent the American workers.

If you can't get a hold of the company owner tell the "Amigo's" that they can't start until you talk to the owner! And tell the owner that it is against the law for you the "Home Owner" are "Not" taking any chances, because it is against the law to hire people here illegally!

Just tell em you can't start till I speak to the owner!

I would start by just simply firing them and calling ICE. You know that even if they are here illegally the company will lie and say that they are legal.
