Higher prices from tariffs is a nismoner. Tariffs not only generate new tax revenue, they protect American jobs and wages, resulting in more manufacturing in the US, more jobs at higher wages, so tariffs actually make taxpayers and workers money.

Did the price of your car go down when it was made in Mexico and shipped back to the US tariff free? No, it cost you or someone you know their job which meant you or those who still have jobs have to pay higher taxes to assist them and your own wages stayed stagnant or went down.

What we're hearing now about tariffs to get Mexico to pay for the wall is the highly destructive inaccurate "free trade" mantra that along with massive immigration has bankrupted our government and left 94 million Americans out of the work force.

Call their bluff, and demand the tariffs. That is the right thing to do with or without a wall. No more "free trade".
