Mike Johanns (R-NE) was elected last night to fill the seat vacated by Chuck Hagel (who had a miserable record on illegal imigration).

Johanns mentions some good things on his campaign website against illegal immigration (opposes amnesty and says "those here illegally must return to their home countries"), but is not listed as a "True Reform Candidate" by NumbersUSA.

Does anyone know if he supports attrition through enforcement and if he supports any "touchback" schemes? BTW, his opponent accused him of supporting amnesty during the campaign.

I'm hoping he will be an ally.
