If all the citizens in Georgia would get involved in a crack down we would turn things around. I know that realistically that is not going to happen.
If people would stop being lazy and just do it. It takes very little time out of the day to report an employer that you know hires illegals. And if there were a way to verify that a specific company was engaging in hiring illegals more Americans would be put back to work. The question is how do we "little people" get that information.

The article in Weslie's post above states what I have said before about Georgia having very few immigrants legal or illegal up until recent years.
I grew up here, there were very few immigrants in Georgia. That is why I have said that I know, that I know, that I know, that all these foreign looking workers that you see on contruction jobs must be here illegally.
And another thing to Jerry Gonzalez, the construction for the 1996 Olympics would have finished without the use of illegal labor.
He under estimates Georgians and their work ethics. If our elected officials
worked half as hard, we would not have an illegal immigration problem, in this state or any other.
