If you think that the immigration bill pushed by our Washington politicians was based on humanitarian concerns for poor, hard working immigrants, I have another good deal for you; a bridge for sale in Brooklyn.

This cynical legislation is being pushed by a cabal of selfish interests whose real objectives are to serve their financial masters and political agendas.

There are multiple self-serving factions that have joined forces to benefit their own purposes while ignoring the best interests of the great majority of their constituent voters — us.

Cheap labor

Big business wants cheap, non-union labor. They say that they want to keep prices down, but they are really concerned about showing huge profits in their year-end statements to justify the obscene bonuses and salaries they pay themselves. These corporate potentates have bought and paid for our politicians and now want these lackeys to give them cheap labor and a gradual lowering of blue collar wages, with no pensions, health care or fringe benefits.
