Joe Biden Calls on Mexicans to Rise Up Against Donald Trump

Calls Trump's treatment of children 'unconscionable' and 'abhorrent'

Former US Vice President Joe Biden has called on Mexicans and other Latino communities to rise up against President Trump.

Biden demanded an uprising whilst attending a fundraiser for Latino "resistance" groups, calling on supporters to reject the elected US President.

The ex-VP, who is currently topping the polls as a 2020 presidential candidate, released a strong-worded statement in response to the discovery of immigrant detention facilities in Texas last week.

Despite the fact that the migrant camps were established under the Obama Administration and only discovered during Trump's term, Biden described the president's treatment of children as “unconscionable” and “abhorrent.”

In a statement to the press regarding the detention centers, Biden said:“A policy that separates young children from their parents isn’t a ‘deterrent.’

    "It’s unconscionable.“A policy that traumatizes children isn’t a bargaining chip."It’s abhorrent.

"And a President and an administration that continues this policy isn’t protecting our border and our people."

It threatens to make us a pariah in the world.”

    "Creepy Unkle Joe"

Trump and Biden come to blows on several occasions in the past.

After Biden publically blasted Mr. Trump as a "misogynist" over allegations of his attitudes towards women, the president responded by highlighting the previously-unspoken problem of "Creepy Unkle Joe's" molestation of children.

The Obama administration also faced harsh criticism for its actions at the time.

Obama was sometimes referred to as the “deporter in chief” by immigrant rights groups, which criticized his administration’s removal of more than 2.5 million people with immigration orders between 2009 and 2015.

Large numbers of migrants were also detained while waiting for deportation proceedings under his administration.

Biden referenced his own work traveling to Guatemala in 2014 to discuss the influx of unaccompanied Central American children streaming across the US border, and to encourage leaders there to make their own countries safer to cut down on the flow of migrants. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-...617-story.html

He traveled back to the country in subsequent years for the same purpose.

“I know how difficult this problem is,” he said. “As vice president, I was charged with leading our response when we saw a surge of unaccompanied minors on our border. And I can tell you the answer is not to toss aside our values, our principles, and our humanity.

”The Obama administration did not make it a policy to separate undocumented families while they were detained in government facilities.

Officials from both the Obama and Bush administrations told the New York Times that while they considered implementing such a policy, they decided it would be too draconian.

Biden reiterated that in his Wednesday statement.

“We must send the clearest possible signal to the rest of the world that America still represents the best of humanity — not the worst,” he said.

Read Biden’s entire statement on Facebook or below: This is not who we are. America is better than this. https://www.facebook.com/joebiden/

What we are seeing at our border right now — children only a few months old being pulled from their mothers’ arms, toddlers distraught and wailing for their parents, children being separated from their parents with no idea if they will ever see them again — is fundamentally at odds with everything this nation stands for and believes.A policy that separates young children from their parents isn’t a “deterrent”.

    It’s unconscionable.

A policy that traumatizes children isn’t a bargaining chip. It’s abhorrent. And a President and an administration that continues this policy isn’t protecting our border and our people. It threatens to make us a pariah in the world.

I know how difficult this problem is. As Vice President, I was charged with leading our response when we saw a surge of unaccompanied minors on our border. And I can tell you the answer is not to toss aside our values, our principles, and our humanity.

The real key to solving this problem lies not on our border. We have to deal with this problem in countries these people are fleeing.
Addressing the root causes of migration, as our administration did by pushing Central American governments to undertake ambitious political reforms and going after criminal groups responsible for the smuggling of drugs and people, is the only way to reduce the flows of migrants fleeing to the United States in search of a better life.

    It is hard.

    It is not simple.

There is no easy or quick fix.

And unfortunately, the current administration has cut back on the very tools needed to get the job done. This President could end the practice of separating families right now if he wanted to — and he should. It’s our duty to demand that he do so. Stand up. Show up. Speak out. No one, not even a President, can change who we are as America and what we stand for — if we the people stand united and unleash all that power that is in our hands. We must remind this Administration of the core values that beat in the heart of this country.

We must send the clearest possible signal to the rest of the world that America still represents the best of humanity — not the worst.

Biden has also enlisted the help of Latino campaign groups to rally-up an uprising against the president.Speaking at an event for a Latino “resistance” group that ran an infamous ad in last year’s Virginia gubernatorial contest that smeared Republicans as racists who want to run over children of color with pickup trucks, Biden called on supporters to rise up against Trump.

According to Breitbart, The Latino Victory Fund said the group “discussed the Latino resistance to Trump going into 2018… and 2020” at the Miami fundraiser in which reportedly “roughly two dozen Latino power brokers who would be key to a possible presidential bid” were scheduled to attend.

The Latino Victory Fund infamously aired a commercial during the 2017 Virginia gubernatorial contest—which aired after a terrorist ran over several people with a truck in New York while reportedly shouting “Allahu Akbar”—that featured a supporter of Republican Ed Gillespie in a pickup truck with a confederate flag bumper sticker trying to run down minority children. http://www.breitbart.com/big-governm...rity-children/

The group, after much backlash, pulled the ad. http://www.breitbart.com/big-governm...rity-children/

But Cristobal Alex, the group’s president, continued to defend the incendiary commercial.

“When facing vicious, racist attacks, we usually turn the other cheek or point our finger at the bully. This time we threw a jab to the throat. And we will continue to stand up to these attacks in the future,” Alex wrote after the election.

Biden’s advisers are reportedly laying the groundwork for a 2020 presidential run and gaming out various scenarios that will give him the best chance to defeat Trump.

One scenario reportedly has Biden promising just to serve one term in office in order for the country to have a “reset.”

Police say the 21st El Paso mass shooting victim died at a hospital.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Monday pushed the United States to support gun control legislation in response to a mass shooting in El Paso, Texas over the weekend that claimed at least 22 lives, including eight Mexican nationals.

"We are very respectful of what other governments decide but we think that these lamentable events that occurred in the United States should lead to reflection, analysis and the decision to control the indiscriminate sale of arms," Lopez Obrador said at a press conference.

The suspected gunman, Patrick Crusius, 21, allegedly opened fire at a Walmart Saturday before he was taken into police custody. He faces capital murder charges.

Before the shooting, he allegedly wrote an anti-immigrant manifesto and drove several hours from his Dallas-area home to the scene of the attack.
El Paso sits directly across the southern border from Cuidad Juarez in Mexico.
Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs Marcelo Ebrard on Sunday that the country's top prosecutor is considering filing terrorism charges against Crusius.
He also threatened legal action against the U.S., saying Mexican leaders would demand conditions to protect its citizens while in the United States.
"It is not our disposition to involve ourselves in the internal affairs of any country, but this topic should be considered again because it affects many people, in this case Americans as well as Mexicans," Lopez Obrador said.

The Mexican leader's request comes at a time of unprecedented violence in Mexico as drug cartels continue to fight over territory and smuggling routes.

Murders in Mexico rose 33 percent in 2018, Reuters reported in January.
Investigators opened more than 33,340 murder cases that year, compared to just over 25,000 in 2017, according to information from the Interior Ministry.

Wow, that comment took a lot of nerve considering the military grade weaponry the cartels are running around Mexico with!
