Judicial Watch News Update ..LA RAZA

I JUST RECIEVED THIS...

Judicial Watch Releases New Report on Mexican Separatist School

You may recall a couple of months ago I told you that Judicial Watch launched an investigation of a taxpayer-funded Mexican separatist school that was apparently brainwashing children to hate the United States. Last week, Judicial Watch released a new special report summarizing the evidence we’ve collected thus far, and I think you are going to be very disturbed by what we found.
According to our report, entitled, Academia Semillas del Pueblo (Seeds of the People Academy): Training the Next Generation of Mexican Revolutionaries with American Tax Dollars, this “school” is really nothing more than a training ground for the Mexican reconquista movement (which has concocted an insane plan to conquer the American southwest and return it to Mexico.)
I really hope you take the time to read through this report in its entirety, but here are a few of the highlights:
Academia is led by Mexican revolutionary radical Marcos Aguilar, who recently told an interviewer with UCLA’s Teaching to Change L.A.: “We don’t necessarily want to go to White schools…the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction.”
Academia offers an 8th grade United States history and geography class entitled, “A People’s history of Expansion and Conflict – A thematic survey of American politics, society, culture and political economy; Emphasis throughout on the nations the U.S. usurped, invaded and dominated; Connections between historical rise of capitalism and imperialism with modern political economy and global social relations.”
Academia is funded by the Mexican reconquista organization National Council of La Raza (or National Council of the Race). Moreover, Aguilar previously served as a leader of M.E.Ch.A., a radical student-run Chicano organization, while attending UCLA. According to M.E.Ch.A.’s official statement of principles, “Aztlan (the American southwest) belongs to indigenous people, who are sovereign and not subject to a foreign culture…We are a union of free pueblos forming a bronze Nation.”
According to Academia’s original charter application, the school targets “communities [that] are highly self-identified as Latino.” English instrtion for Academia’s students does not begin until the fourth grade.
According to statistics from the California Department of Education, Aguilar’s school achieved the lowest ranking possible on its "Academic Performance Index."
What I find most shocking about this school is the fact that Aguilar did not try to hide his radical agenda when he sought government funding in 2001. His plans are laid out in detail in his original charter application. The real scandal here is that the Los Angeles Unified School District bought it. So far, taxpayers have given Aguilar $1.6 million. The school’s charter is due for review this year. It should be revoked.

That is just as bad as the Muslim schools in Virginia teaching anti American. It is wrong and should not be allowed. I believe in freedom of speech but then there is also a point where it gets too liberal.

Why are we allowing this????

That is the question!!!! WE don't have to worry about the enemy in AL Queda (sp?) or other extreme groups... we are RAISING THEM RIGHT HERE AMONG US! Mexico, it seems has the same agenda.
THEY TOO ARE OUR ENEMY!!! THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO LOOK AT THIS!
Every AMERICAN should be outraged over this...along with the funding of racist ...so called civil rights organizations like La Raza and the rest of the bunch. They come here and arrogantly and strategically promote the agenda of taking over this country...! Not only do they promote it ...but EXPECT the American taxpayers to FUND THEM!

I am sending this to all of the elected officials in my district!!!!! And all the candidates running! I believe there is one of these here in Colorado and I am going to mention that with the email I send to all of them!
Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us. THEY DESERVE the goodness of AMERICA not to be given to those who are stealing our children's future! ... and a congress who works for THEM!

Here's a link (scroll down a few posts) that tells how La Raza students at MSU have 'fellowship teachings' in which whites are everything short of being prohibited from attending.

Thanks for the post, HOTCBNS! This is the kind of stuff that will prove that what we have been saying all along is that La RAZA is pure hate and racist. Our tax dollars should not be going to any race oriented organization. If La Raza really had good intentions for the US, they would be teaching its students how the Mexican government has lied and cheated them out of their lives for generations.

NEW JERSEY IMMIGRATION POLICY NETWORK
1For: Immigrant-Friendly Governor-Elect Jon Corzine
January 10, 2006

We hope that as an immigrant-friendly Governor, you'll take actions to address the issues, detailed below
Appoint an advisory committee to explore the establishment of an Office of Immigrant Affairs
In light of the above, we propose the following that could be addressed by Governor Corzine in the first 100 days of his administration
To comply with Title VI, a program, service or agency (called a "recipient" of federal funds by the Guidance) must provide "meaningful access" at no cost to the LEP individual. Recipients covered by the Guidance include all public and private entities that receive federal financial assistance from HHS whether through grants, contracts or subcontracts. Examples of such health and social service entities are hospitals, managed care organizations, state and local welfare agencies, physicians, and research programs. They include providers of services funded through Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), Head Start, and other programs for families and youth.
State of New Jersey Has Its Own Responsibility
o Although the federal government is responsible for Immigration policy, state- and local governments have responsibility for policies for immigrants, i.e. addressing the special needs and concerns of almost 1.5 million foreign-born people living in New Jersey There is a clear distinction between federal "immigration" matters and an "immigrant" policy dealing with real people in real communities, the latter being a state and local responsibility
o New Jersey must combat the serious threat of anti-immigrant bias and hostility that is prevalent in the state and country due to misinformation and the politics of fear and paranoia.
Discrimination based on ancestry or national origin is outlawed in the state constitution and our policies and practices must be consistent. Discrimination occurs when the economic, social and political barriers are not effectively addressed by the state. The economic barriers are created by job, wage, education, health care and housing disparities; social barriers include language access barriers and cultural insensitivity; political barriers consist of immigration status, refugee status, etc.
New Jersey's Immigrants Implore You to Address Their Issues and Problems - Creating a Statewide Office of Immigrants' Affairs Would be a Great First Step
This state office can serve as a resource and catalyst for positive changes within the government. This office will partner with immigrant-serving organizations and various state departments in the delivery of services to the immigrant community
Creating a Statewide Office of Immigrants' Affairs
The Governor shall appoint a 12-15-person New Immigrant Policy Council comprised of the chairs of the Joint Legislative Immigrant and Refugee Policy Task Force, with the important addition of a representative of the New Jersey Immigration Policy Network and other appropriate parties. Representatives from the Governor's office and state agencies may participate on the Council, but they may not constitute a voting majority.
o The Office will consult broadly with immigrant leaders and host communities, identify "best practices," make recommendations to the Governor on policies and programs of state (and local) government to equip immigrants with the necessary resources and services to become full contributing state residents, and assist state agencies in developing plans to help immigrants and their host communities. The Office will identify key policy areas for focus and make recommendations to the Governor regularly.

Implement In-State College
Encourage compliance with Title VI requirements for language access to federally funded programs
Expand access to adult education (ESL), housing, health care, workers' wages, and driver's license
Administers state grants to community groups to promote immigrant integration
o Manages federal grants related to immigrant integration
o Produces studies or reports on immigrant policy issues
o Provides staff support to the New Jersey Advisory Council on New Americans
o Provides frequent advice and assistance to local governments on immigrant-related issues
Budget and Staffing Requirements
Location of Office in State Government
Over the last decade, a number of states and local governments have established immigrant affairs officers (for a list of such offices, see http://www.ncsl.org/programs/immig/immi ... ices05.htm). Most such offices in the state government are located with human service departments and are linked together with the federally funded refugee- and asylee assistance departments. New Jersey Immigration Policy Network supports this concept and would recommend that the State Refugee Program and the newly-formed Office of Immigrant Affairs be grouped together in a larger Bureau of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, where both Offices will have a certain degree of autonomy
The Office of Immigrant Affairs should have an annual budget at par with similar offices in other states (Illinois is our model state; for details on the Illinois program, please visit http://www.dhs.state.il.us/ts/FamilySupportServices. Part of the budget will support internal staffing needs and operational expenses; the other part will be made available for a grant program. Staffing will include, at minimum, the following positions:
o Executive Director
o Director for Services
o Coordinator for Citizenship and Grants
o Administrative Assistants

Nature of Grant Program
The overall goal of the program will be to naturalize 10,000 to 20,000 NJ immigrants per year.
. State of New Jersey Has Its Own Responsibility
o Although the federal government is responsible for Immigration policy, state- and local governments have responsibility for policies for immigrants, i.e. addressing the special needs and concerns of almost 1.5 million foreign-born people living in New Jersey
There. is a clear distinction between federal "immigration" matters and an "immigrant" policy dealing with real people in real communities, the latter being a state and local responsibility.
o New Jersey must combat the serious threat of anti-immigrant bias and hostility that is prevalent in the state and country
o Discrimination based on ancestry or national origin is outlawed in the state constitution and our policies and practices must be consistent. Discrimination occurs when the economic, social and political barriers are not effectively addressed by the state. The economic barriers are created by job, wage, education, health care and housing disparities; social barriers include language access barriers and cultural insensitivity; political barriers consist of immigration status, refugee status, etc.
EXPAND ACCESS TO SERVICES AND RIGHTS SUCH AS ADULT EDUCATION (ESL), HOUSING, HEALTH CARE, WORKERS' WAGES, AND DRIVER'S LICENSE
IN NEW JERSEY, STATE AND LOCAL POLICE SHOULD NOT ENFORCE FEDERAL IMMIGRATION LAW
Already, many cities with large immigrant populations have adopted "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policies, not requiring law enforcement to report to federal authorities immigrants illegally in the county.

Thank you. On behalf of our coalition partners (see enclosed list),
Executive Director, New Jersey Immigration Policy Network
Associate Director for Social Concerns, NJ Catholic Conference

The states that have historically had the largest immigrant populations (California, Florida, Illinois, New York, and Texas) have or have had fairly well established offices or committees to address immigrant affairs. *Other states with long-term experience include Maryland’s Office for New Americans and the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants.

More often, however, states create short-term, targeted legislative committees or task forces to address particular immigrant issues or challenges.* Recent examples of state and local government offices serving immigrants are described below.

State Governments

California: The Office of Immigrant Assistance was established through the Department of Justice to help immigrant communities to understand and use the legal system to seek redress. http://caag.state.ca.us/immigrant/.* The California legislature has also created the Senate Select Committee on Immigration and the Economy.* (In previous years, legislative committees included the California Joint Committee on Refugee Resettlement, International Migration and Cooperative Development, (1973-1991) and an Assembly Select Committee on Statewide Immigration Impact (1993).

Illinois:* The Bureau of Refugee and Immigrant Services funds, manages and monitors contracts designed to: Help newly arriving refugees achieve self-sufficiency in the United States; Provide health services to low-income immigrants; provide citizenship education and application services to resident non-citizens desiring to become United States citizens. – www.dhs.state.il.us/ts/ccfs/RIS/.* The Illinois Immigrant Policy Project has a steering committee composed of resettlement agencies, the state Department of Human Services, state Department of Education, immigrant organizations, researchers, and foundations.* The Illinois Immigrant Policy Project supported 8 studies on topics such as a profile of Chicago’s immigrant community; estimated costs of providing welfare and education; citizenship needs; public service use; and how immigration is revitalizing America’s Midwest, These reports have helped the legislature, executive agencies, and private sector in Illinois respond to the needs of immigrants.* The Illinois State Board of Education ESL for Refugee School Children facilitates refugee children’s transition into Illinois schools.* This program allows some schools to offer specialized instruction and services to refugee students through Newcomer Centers and system wide programming for students, parents and school staff.* http://www.isbe.state.il.us/bilingual/h ... rvices.htm.

Iowa: In 1999 the Community Work Group of the Governor’s Strategic Planning Council, as part of Iowa 2010, established the Subcommittee on Diversity/Immigration to examine the changing demographics of Iowa and work on immigrant relations. http://www.iowa2010.state.ia.us/.* Some of the action items include protecting immigrants/refugees from exploitation; creating a handbook for immigrants; and creating model community programs.

Maine: Department of Labor’s Migrant and Immigrant Services coordinate services for migrant and foreign workers in Maine. http://www.maine.gov/labor/bls/mis.htm.* They ensure that migrant and foreign workers obtain necessary services and employers get help hiring these workers. The Department also promotes awareness of the needs of migrant and immigrant workers throughout Maine.*

Massachusetts: The Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants was established in 1985 to assist refugees in adjusting to life in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Office supports programs for refugees and immigrants, acts as their public advocate, coordinates state and federal services on refugees' behalf, and works to make mainstream programs linguistically and culturally accessible to refugees and immigrants.* http://www.state.ma.us/ori/

Maryland: The Maryland Office for New Americans (MONA) provides support services to refugees to ease their transition into American society and serves as a resource to the Governor and General Assembly on refugee and immigrant policy. http://www.dhr.state.md.us/mona/index.htm. The 15-member Maryland Advisory Council for New Americans was established in 1994 to advise MONA and serve as a resource to the governor, legislature, and state and local agencies.

Minnesota: The Department of Health’s Refugee Health Program works with local health departments and private health care providers to offer each new refugee arrival a comprehensive screening examination, including appropriate follow-up or referral. http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/idep ... index.html. The Minnesota Immigrant Health Task Force, (2002-2004), was a joint initiative of the Commissioner of Health and the Commissioner of Human Services, created to promote quality, comprehensive, and culturally competent health care for all recent immigrant communities by effecting change in statewide health care delivery systems. Members included representatives of government, business, health care, academia, and immigrant communities. http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/idep ... about.html The Task Force’s recommendations are available at http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/idep ... lthrpt.pdf.

New York: The New York State Task Force on New Americans was created in 1987 to consider immigrant employment and civic rights. It was terminated in 1993 for budget reasons and later recreated. Goals in 2004 included driver’s license issues and interpretation services at hospitals. http://assembly.state.ny.us/comm/?sec=post&id=83 *

Texas: Governor Ann Richards and the Texas legislature created the Governor’s Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs (OIRA) in 1991 to apply and distribute federal funds available through the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, and the Refugee Act of 1980. http://www.dhs.state.tx.us/programs/refugee/index.html. It also seeks to “understand and address the needs of the immigrant/refugee population, to facilitate the self-sufficiency and social integration of Texas’ immigrant/refugee population and foster an understanding and appreciation in the state’s cultural diversity.”* OIRA is designated by the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement to provide services to refugees in Texas. The office became part of the State Department of Human Services in FY 1994/1995.

Utah: The governor created the Utah Office of Ethnic Affairs in 1996 to review state policies and programs for their impact on ethnic communities, help state agencies improve responsiveness, and inform citizens about available government services. Simultaneously, Governor Leavitt created ethnic councils to serve as liaisons between the ethnic offices and communities. The Offices of Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Pacific Islanders all fall under Utah’s Department for Community and Economic Development.* http://dced.utah.gov/ethnicaffairs/ethnicaffairs.html

Wisconsin: The merger of the Bureau of Migrant Services (BMS) and the Office of Refugee Services (ORS) became effective October 1, 2002. The newly created Bureau of Migrant, Refugee and Labor Services (BMRLS) works to coordinate services to the foreign born and their families, migrant workers, and employers who hire foreign and/or Limited English Proficient (LEP) workers. http://www.dwd.state.wi.us/dws/programs ... efault.htm
City Governments

Los Angeles: The Mayor’s office announced the creation of its Office of Immigrant Affairs on March 2, 2004.** Its goal is to advance and advocate for the full and active civic, social, political, and economic participation of immigrants and refugees in the City of Los Angeles. http://www.lacity.org/mayor/sp/moia/miami1.htm

New York: The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs was originally created in 1984 by the Department of City Planning to help newcomers adapt to life in New York City.* The office now is part of the Mayor’s office and became a cabinet-level office in 1996.* Its mission is to encourage the full and active participation of immigrant New Yorkers in the political, economic, social and civic life of the city.* The Office also works to ensure that the needs of immigrant communities are being served through linguistically and culturally competent services.* http://www.nyc.gov/html/imm/home.html

*Refugee Services

In addition to the above offices that focus on all populations (refugees, immigrants and migrants) most states have a program specifically dedicated to refugee resettlement services (vocational training, English language classes, self-sufficiency services and other benefits.) *The federal Office of Refugee Resettlement website is: http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/orr/

Victims of Human Trafficking

Although not immigration per se, several states have recognized the dangers of human trafficking and established legislative committees to study the issue, develop legislation, and educate the public.** In 2004,
Connecticut established an Interagency Task Force on Trafficking in Persons; Washington created a Task Force Against the Trafficking of Persons; and
Idaho authorized the creation of an Interim Committee on Human Trafficking. Connecticut’s Task Force was created to research the extent of trafficking as well as determine what services are available to victims and how well equipped law enforcement agencies are to deal with the problem. In Washington recommendations from the Task Force were used to direct the state Department of Community Trade & Economic Development to convene a workgroup to develop protocols coordinating the delivery of relevant services to trafficking victims. The workgroups protocols are due to the Legislature and the governor on January 1, 2006.* Idaho’s committee will report their findings to the Legislature, the Office of the Governor and the Idaho Supreme Court by January 1, 2006.
