    NOT FOR ME.

    I VOTED THIRD PARTY.

NO MCCAIN, NO OBAMA. BOTH ARE POISON.

    You guys are so funny.

Oh yes! Vote for your downballot candidates!!!!!!!!!

First thing I'm going to say, is that I have not decided how I will be voting, so don't assume anything.

Voting for the Marxist is out of the question. Oh, and I now know I'm smarter than Joe Biden becasue I know one when I see one and can admit when I see one.

McCain sucks on immigration, just sucks, sucks, sucks! I can't stand that about the man. Gov. Palin... I like her. I think she is a "for the people" kind of person. Qualified? Sure. Gov. Regan, Gov. Clinton, and Gov. Bush were. She's got more hoohass than a big portion of the beltway boys.

I think this is going to be a close election and every vote counts.

I'm thankful to live in a country that allows us to have this discussion and the free will to vote or not vote as we choose.

Reading this thread gives me a more clear mind on how to keep Obama out of the Pesidential Office. I have decided to vote for McCain/Palin instead of a write-in
    Thank You,

I think that if the only objective is to keep Obama out of the WH, then obviously McCain is the choice.....but in order for that argument to be persuasive, there must be a small part of you that can vote for John McCain.

That does not exist inside of me.

There is nothing in me that would vote for an amnesty crafter. Nothing. I respect everyone's choice, but I am just putting it in perspective, and explaining our side of things. That is the way it is with people like me, and that won't change. If Baldwin supporters are like me (and I suspect that they are) there is absolutely nothing one can say here that will deter us. I hope you understand, as I understand your position. I will not try to change anyone's mind -- its too late for that anyway.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!

I was all set to write in Baldwin. But the more I looked at Obama, the more scared I became. I am scared of this man. I know all the arguments about standing up for what we believe and casting a vote to make a statement, but you know, making a statement by voting for someone who cannot possibly win does nothing for the problems we face if Obama wins. I do not agree with McCains policy on Illegal Immigration either, but I would rather deal with that issue than facing the demise of our nation with Obama at the reins. I had to vote McCain because at least it is some chance that Obama will be stopped. Does anyone here know what Obama really is?

I have already voted for McCain/Palin after reading the book by Jerome Corsi - Obama Nation - Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality.

I'm worried that Obama would put someone like Odinga in Homeland Security and that would be it for U.S.

I think it has a lot to do with pragmatism versus idealism. For example, I voted for Keyes and my dad voted for Captain McAmnesty even though he strongly opposes illegal immigration. I can understand his point that a vote for Keyes is a vote for Barry, but I just couldn't hold my nose and vote for Captain McAmnesty.

He's in his 60's and I'm in my 30's. Age probably has something to do with it. He said that he's lived through enough presidential elections to know that the only two choices are usually Socialism and Socialism Lite.

This is an excellent thread. I love it when we can have an open discussion like this without resorting to name calling, personal attacks, and unfounded accusations.

    I agree.

The Supreme Court has been one of my biggest issues. I saw a report by a legal analyst today on Fox News. He said that the decisions made on the Supreme Court will change the look of this country for 50 years. Good thing I don't have that long to live. Once Obama loads that court with left-wing, legislate from the bench, judges, we won't have a fight any more. They will over rule every state, county, and city decision made to protect this country and its borders. Although I don't like either candidate, there is a word that says it all. REALITY! What is the reality in this situation. The reality is we will be stuck with either Obama or McCain. No other outcome is feasible. So of the two realities, which one do you feel you have a chance to fight? It would be nice to say I'm just voting down ballot, but down ballot doesn't nominate judges. A small part of down ballot approves or disapproves of the nomination. If the Democrats have a super majority and there is no chance of winning the vote in the Senate, you've already lost with Obama as President.

Yes, vote down ballot, get new people in. HOWEVER, one poster says if you recognize the name or its incumbent vote for the other guy. (Paraphrasing not exact) Are you going to vote Jeff Sessions out? How about Inhofe, Vitter, Coburn, etc. who have walked into the lions mouth for you at every battle. Be careful with broad sweeping decisions that can take the good guys out too.

Check out the good guys threads in General Discussion. I have placed their pictures and states and mkfarnam has given you their contact information to thank them and if you live in their state, ask how you can help their campaigns. As my grandmother would say, "don't throw out the baby with the bath water."

Dixie, you've nailed a very important point. Supreme Court appointees are CRITICAL when it comes down to which direction our country moves. I'm an old fashioned, conservative kind of guy and this is important to me. McCain is the most likely to keep the Supreme Court conservative and constitutionally aligned.

By the way Dixie, I am impressed with your apparently solid grasp of politics. I am your student...educate me!
