L.A. mayor Villaraigosa get call from Obama

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a former cochair for Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, joins a list of some heavyweight economists and other politicians on President-elect Barack Obama’s economic transition team, the Obama campaign announced Thursday. Villaraigosa campaigned for Obama after the Illinois senator locked up the Democratic nomination, and last weekend traveled to New Mexico to help rally the Latino vote for Obama on election day.

Villaraigosa, a former California Assembly Speaker and L.A. City Councilman, joins some of the nation’s top financial minds and wealthiest financiers, including Warren Buffet, Chairman and chief executive of Berkshire Hathaway; Robert Reich, former Labor Secretary under President Bill Clinton and now a professor at UC Berkeley; and Paul Volcker, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, among others. The group’s first meeting is scheduled for Friday in Chicago.

Being from Illinois I have had serious questions about the "questionable" people he's picked from here.......it's like "and the corruption continues"......a board of the most corrupt people with the most failed systems going. I mean seriously......there's nothing promising or hopeful with many of these people.

yes, heard this one on Rush today.

I was listening on my little pocket radio as I cleaned manure from my horses stall. I thought "how fitting" after I put my eyes back in my head.

Anyone who thinks Barackula is smart needs to get thier own head examined.

This guy is one of the most corrupt politicians in the state. He is the worst thing to happen to California. He is doing everything to turn this state into Mexico.

This was a conference on the economy, and the mayor of the country's second largest city, and Michigan Gov. Granholm were included to talk about the problems they face. It does not necessarily mean the mayor will be part of this administration.

Right, but he's in on the conference. Therefore his input seems to matter to Obama. Doesn't speak well for Obama's character. Not that I ever thought he had any anyway.
