Thread: Lou Dobbs bring down the hammer on open border economists

There is a group of economists that state the all borders should be open and human movement should be unrestricted just as movement of goods are. They claim that all economies would benefit as a result. Lou Dobbs goes nuts...and actually call them idiots and jackasses. It was great! The video will likely be on youtube tomorrow. Look for it and someone will likely post it on ALIPAC.

Good for Lou!!

My analogy for that would be that all houses must be open to all people...anybody can live in any house they want, regardless of who built it and paid for it.

How absurd.

Did these brilliant economists talk into account the fact that countries like China have pirated much of our technology, flagrantly ignoring international patent law. That the Chinese have a "command system" of production virtually requiring people to work in certain industries. Or that they do not allow their currency to "float" on international markets but keep a strict exchange rate that benefits their own exports.

Did they account for the fact that many US based coporations have opened illegal offshore headquarters as a presursor to removing employment opportunities from American workers. Did they account for the fact that many corporations utilize illegal holding companies to avoid state taxes?

Don't forget.....

Depression of middle-class wages. Loss of sovereignty due to WTO, NAFTA etc. Dependancy on foreign nations for goods and services. Enormous trade debt. Transfer of technology to nations that really should be enemies. Exporting financial and medical information to nations that do not have privacy laws. Foreign air-line employees not going through criminal and drug screening.............
