The primary elections are coming up.

Get the word out for everyone to vote for candidates who support strong immigration legislation.

Don't let them get away with any nonsense.

the ranchers that do have fences have them cut and their livestock get loose -- and to think the Constitution use to protect 'private property'
It will make you even happier to know that much of that ranchland in west TX belongs to the gov't and they are selling it off on E-Bay. I bet I know who's buying it, too.

This disturbs me because yes, what we want, what we must have first and foremost - is border security.

But if the President gets his guest worker program through and makes all illegals 'legal' and the 'family reunification' thing goes through - that means from 30 to 50 million people. We are collapsing under the weight of the ones here now -

I think this is a flim flam. We so desperately need border patrol - they think if they give us that before the election - we will all just be giddy with happiness. Then after they are back in office, they can do what they want and pass that travesty called the 'guest worker' program.

And don't forget we have a great border security bill right now - it is just not being enforced. So while we need something done, if it isn't going to be enforced it is less than nothing.

Does anything think this smells ?????????
It is a 'flim flam'! Both parties are scared to death passing anything that would upset future voters. I've also heard it would be a two-part process. Border enforcement only, should be the top priority. But you know how it goes in Washington DC. Make the people think one thing, and do another. It reminds me of those famous last words that Bush throws around, "TRUST ME".

Most of the incumbents political careers will be long over before the illegals considered in this amnesty are eligible to vote if the rules are followed. Don't see this doing much for the republicans. I think the republicans are kowtowing to business leaders that's even more contemptuous than trolling for future constituents. I think that the powers that be are well aware that there are much more than 11 million illegals and that family reunification will quadruple that number. They also know that this shift in demographics will forever alter the character of America.
    Hope we can do something.

The two part business has always made sense to me. But closing the borders has got to be the first priority which is why it made me so angry to see them talking about a guest worker program with wide open borders enticing even more to come take advantage.

If they do go ahead and close the border and start enforcing the law, we need to stay on them like stink on a skunk and not let them sit around ignorning the laws any longer.
