Here in AZ our polls closed at 7:00, according to the Elections website the polls in CA closed at 8:00.

According to both states, every individual in line waiting to vote when the polls closed WILL be given the chance to vote no matter how long it takes. I'm sure that's got to be a rather large number of people so for the sake of argument let's just say people could still be voting for a couple of more hours at least.

It's 9:38 in CA and 10:38 here in AZ.

I really just don't see how it's possible for anyone to be declared a winner yet.
Trust me. People say the same thing election after election. "How are they calling the election already if the polls have barely closed!". And more often then not, the predictions are right. It's called statistics 101. With enough of a sample size, statistics can predict the outcome 99% of the time and the statisticians are usually right. Margin of error, sample size, gap size, deviation, etc etc are all taken into account.

I see your point Saki. I can't stand McCain and Huckabee. Already, I'm hearing conservative pundits saying that although they disagree with McCain, we should for for him in Nov because of Supreme Court justice picks.

But I still won't vote for McCain should he win the nom as expected. Who knows how his SC picks would be anyway. Nope, not voting for him.

Chris Matthews, showing a bit of compassion now that he thinks Romney is done, was attempting to troubleshoot his campaign. He did make an interesting point about Romney possibly going on the lecture circuit or something of that nature, thereby beginning to build more trust across the Republican party, particularly among Christian conservatives. Even if Romney drops out of this race, I don't think we've seen the last of him. I certainly hope not.

I don't see how McCain's picks would be any different than President Clinton II.

    19% of the vote in.

I'd like to know what precincts have been counted.

Anyone know where that is shown? My internet was down all day so feel out of the loop.

I did read something the other day (sorry, I don't remember the source) that said Romney would be open for another prez run in the future. I hope this is true, because I believe he would make a good prez.

BTW, I'm listening to various callers calling into Hugh Hewitt, almost all saying they will never vote for McAmnesty.

I suppose. But, they've been wrong before so guess we'll see tomorrow.

Either way, this still isn't over by a long shot. It's a long time yet until November, many things can happen between now and then and I believe we will see things happen.

And, with all of the irregularities, confusion, stolen votes, and numerous other problems we've only just started to hear about......well, who knows what may come of that too.

Well at this point McCain will probably carry CA but not by the big margin CNN is reporting.
