On November 7, 2007, a memo from the Office of Legal Affairs of the North Carolina Community College System (NCCS) was issued to community college presidents, deans, and admissions officers directing that all community "colleges should immediately begin admitting undocumented individuals.â€

The issue drew a storm of public outrage over a recent memo from the system's attorney directing all 58 colleges to admit illegal immigrants. The system has about 340 undocumented students out of more than 271,000 degree-seeking students.

Hello ...Late...I have had no internet service since 9am and so I am just signing on now. One never realizes how much it means until it's gone. Anyway, I have faxed the same ones again today with a different message. Thank God the phone lines worked.

I have been having trouble with my computer freezing and have to reboot to get it going, waiting until after the holidays to get someone to come and check it out..... just the thought of going with out it makes me ill ! I do know how much it means hate to think about it.
