    My country has abandoned me. Right now, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia look very attractive as emigration destinations.
    Yep, they sure do look attractive as emigration destinations. If people start to emigrate out, it is, as the author indicates, because our country has abandoned us in favor of foreign nationals.
