    Utter Frustration...

    Here is the deal...

Ive tried to contact the INS field offices from two different states, Maryland and Delaware. There are NINE illegals that have moved into an apartment unit in the town I'm in in Maryland. since I'm so close to the Delaware boarder, when I got no response from the Maryland INS office, i called Delaware.

the responses Ive gotten are "we dont have the man power", "this is unconfirmed", "is this a prank", etc.

i went so far as to send a copy of my honorable discharge from the US Army as well as pictures of the cars the illegals are using, them hanging outside the building drinking all night and other pics of them.

what should i do now? this really disturbs me that the government that i have fought for for 15 years is turning their back on me. I've called and called and emailed and called....nothing. i work and have worked everyday of my life since i was 14 years old. they hang out and drink all day and work under the table construction jobs in the area???

so what should i do next?

Oh my goodness....you poor thing. I feel for you.

I too have LOTS of illegal clown houses in my neighborhood (I live in San Diego, CA). It sucks.

I commend you for having the courage to report the illegals living in your apartment building. I don't have the courage to report the illegals in my neighborhood. As one of the only white homeowners on my block, I'm sure I would be the first suspect, and I fear retaliation.

My husband and I are currently looking to move and are hoping to be in a better neighborhood by the first of the year. Selling our house won't be easy because our neighborhood has rapidly gone downhill with the influx of illegals, yet housing prices are at an all-time high. Our house (which is very nice and clean) is surrounded by slums, yet the asking price for homes in my neighborhood is about $450,000. My husband and I can't sell our house for less than the going rate because we need the money to buy another house. But as soon as we can sell, we're outta there!!!

In the meantime, I ignore the illegals as best I can, wear earplugs to drown out the dozens of crowing rooster (yes, I live in the city...they violate the no-livestock ordinance in our neighborhood and raise chickens), and I NEVER spend any time in my front yard where I can be seen. Sad, but true.

Anyway, the only advice I can give you is to move. Sorry, I wish I could do better than that.

First, I’m going to play devils advocate; how do you know they are here illegally?

As for ICE, they are extremely under staffed and unless these illegals are committing extreme criminal acts, ICE does not have the manpower to go collect them all.

That said; you could force their hand. Keep calling. Call each week. Get airtime on the radio and send letters to the local papers. Call and talk to your local and state reps; nothing gets a Government agency to move fast then bad media.

Generally if there are 9 people living in a one-bedroom apartment, you can safely assume that most of them are here illegally.

My next door "neighbors" have about 25 people living in a 3-bedroom, 1-bath house. I know the owner of the house is a legal immigrant from Mexico, but he moved and is now renting to illegals. Not one of the two dozen people living in that house speaks a word of English, and they are constantly pestering my husband and me to give them work. If they're not illegal, then I'm Mary Poppins.

how to i know? First off Ive got a friend in that building, he has called the police three or four times about the trash being left all across the yards. When the police showed up four of them that were home shot out the top the stairs and thru the field behind the unit.

its like "cops", "why where you running from the police??" "i was scared" yeah, BS.

also, thru the freedom of information act we got a hold of the construction companies information and they have at least 9 violations from the last six months for hiring illegals.

as well as my buddy and i are closet computer geeks and they have two unsecured internet connections...

    do the math.

Ive called my 2nd LT who is married to the daughter of a state rep in Maryland. will see if that gets me any farther. its just sad, yes i know they are understaffed. yes i know the job sucks, i have been in iraq a half a dozen times as well as afghanistan, etc. we were understaffed as well but we did the job anyway.

There was another thread about 1-2 weeks ago which had a lot of input on this very subject.

I'll go see if I can chase that down and then paste the link back here...

exactly. not to mention, expired tags on beat up cars, one guy out of the nine shows up in the morning at 5am cause he is the only one with what we assume a drivers licence.

    Bravo,

Where are you, generally speaking? Elkton, Fairhill?

    Feel free to PM me.
