That's kinda what it is all about...the proper channels. When you don't you are by US law illegal alien as clearly stated in the US Immigration code. Do you know of some other US code where the term illegal immigrant exist?

The term "alien" is defined by our government as "Any person not a citizen or national of the United States."

I read that somewhere also. They said that calling an illegal alien an undocumented immigrant is like calling a burglar an uninvited house guest.
