Very disappointing that the signatures on the NO AMNESTY letter to Speaker Pelosi have not risen above 80. Several were added last night, but everything is at a standstill at this moment.

If my computer sort worked right, you are getting this Alert because you have a U.S. Representative with a career amnesty grade that is below a B-minus.

If you haven't called yet, please call this afternoon and tell the staffer:

1. If the Representative wants people back home to think of him/her as opposed to illegal immigration, he/she needs to sign this letter this afternoon and get credit on NumbersUSA's Immigration Grade Cards and websites.

2. There are many chances to show the public you support amnesties, but this is a rare chance to take a clear stand AGAINST amnesties.

3. Call Emily in Rep. Bilbray's office for more information about signing the letter urging Speaker Pelosi to keep amnesty bills off the floor of the House.

We know that many of the Representatives who have NOT signed the letter yet are telling their constituents that they would never support an amnesty. They may never have co-sponsored an amnesty or even voted for a major amnesty, but they have made a couple of bad choices on minor votes on amendments. Consequently, they have very low amnesty grades. This is a chance for them to get their grade up -- but also for you to get them to make a more public declaration that will be easier to hold them to in the future.

Dear Representative Wu,

I understand that, from the office of Representative Bilbray, there is a letter circulating throughout Congress where a member of Congress can commit to voting against any amnesty. I didn't see your name on the list of committed Congressional members against amnesty.

I ask you to please sign your commitment to the "No Amnesty" letter being circulated by Representative Bilbray.

We, the voters of Oregon, also want your support to vote against Flake-Gutierrez STRIVE bill. It is amnesty, plain and simple. We cannot reward people who have not only broken our immigration laws, but have in many cases forged documents, stolen identities and damaged citizen's credit history. It is an affront to all those immigrants who came to the U.S. legally and tells the world our laws are irrelevant.

Congressman, I don't enjoy spending my time writing letters like this one. This is not enjoyable. I'd much rather spend my free time with my family. I've never been involved in politics in my life. I feel so strongly about this issue that I am willing to sacrifice to fight for what is right.

The majority of American citizens do not want amnesty, please represent the will of the majority.
