Thread: Obama to address America's children...

Personally, I'd keep my kids at home that day --- make sure of a sitter, then go back to that school, and watch for myself that "message".

Oh yeah, I'd tape it too -- since it's not going to be released to the public -- I sure would tape his message!!

Here is the school and district information about the president's address. I am not sure where you heard that it was being aired here but the address is not being shown school wide at #####.

#### Middle School will not be showing the presidential address school wide. $$$$ ISD is treating this like any other national news event, such as an election or shuttle launch, and allowing individual teachers to determine if their class will view the speech if it aligns to the curriculum and is timely. ##### teachers will notify parents if they plan to use the address as part of instruction. Any parent who objects to their child viewing the Presidential Address can request that they be excused from the activity by contacting their student’s teacher.

I will let ###'s teacher know that if they have planned to use the speech to excuse her from the activity.

Principal - ### Middle School

Good for you Texas, and those keeping the kids away from it all. Mine are homeschooled.

To make it all more interesting, my 16 year old son and 12 year old daughter are both very aware of this kind of thing and have strong opinions, which in the past, got in the way of teachers attempting to sway them to their side of the liveral agendas that the schools push so much.

However, they will not be in a public school to be indoctrinated anymore, so it matters little to us, other than all too many kids will be there and be affected. I am anxious to see if anyone gets a video of this and posts it to Youtube.

Well, heres my situation. The elementary school that my kids go to are allowing the video to be shown at the will of the teacher and they are giving parent the choice to opt thier kids out from seeing it by sending them with a note to school on Tuesday.
I feel that if the school is STILL choosing to air this (even if my kids teachers are not) then I will still keep them out just as a protest so the school will lose funding that for that day. In my not so humble opinion, they have a choice to NOT air it school wide (and district wide) - and I have a choice not to have my kids in school that day.

I think that in order to make it fair, Republicans should have a response to that speech so that the kids can hear both sides. And Dick Chenney should voice that response. Boy, would that be fun! He'd tear Obummer propaganda to pieces.

And in order to make it happen, we should be calling our reps and TV stations asking if there will be Republican response, and if not, why.

Obama is going to address American children? How could any parent find this acceptable? Sad.....

Yeah, you know, those secret shuttle launches, elections, and news not available to the public at large. Enemies of freedom are running our schools and will be stopped.
