Obama did a lot of things while he was President that were illegal, they need to look into all of that for prosecution.

I'd bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!

Is it legal for a sitting President to be "wire tapping" a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!

Lindsey Graham while speaking at his town hall today did talk about the wire tapping issue. He also said to attendees, like many of you, I did not vote for President Trump.

Donald Trump Questions ‘Sick Guy’ Barack Obama for ‘Wire Tapping’ His Campaign

    Charles Spiering

    March 4, 2017

President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of wiretapping his campaign headquarters during the election in a series of messages on Twitter.

“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory,” he wrote on Twitter. “Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”

Trump questioned whether it was legal for Obama to be wiretapping a presidential candidate while he was still in office.

“How low has President Obama gone to tapp (sic) my phones during the very sacred election process,” he wrote. “This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy! Is it legal for a sitting President to be ‘wire tapping’ a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!”

Trump is likely referring to calls from talk radio hosts Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh to investigate the nature of the Obama administration’s investigations of his campaign aides for their communications with Russia, as Breitbart News editor Joel Pollak reported.

As former Heat Street editor Louise Mensch reported the day before the election, “sources with links to the counter-intelligence community” confirmed that a FISA court had granted a FISA court warrant in October to monitor activities in Trump tower. They were previously denied a request in June, according to the report as well as a report in the Guardian.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday that the Obama team classified the investigation at the lowest possible level, allowing the data gathered from the investigation to be shared and leaked widely within the administration.

In January, The New York Times reported that intelligence reports based on some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the Obama White House even though there was “no conclusive evidence of wrongdoing” between Russian officials and associates of Trump.

On Twitter, Trump suggested that he might even have legal options against the former president.

“I’d bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!” he wrote.

Obama Birth Certificate Investigator: “We Were Aware of the Spying”

    “DEEP AND DARK” EXPLAINED

    by Sharon Rondeau

(Mar. 4, 2017) — Following revelations made by President Trump early on Saturday morning that he believes his phones were “wiretapped” by the Obama regime, The Post & Email spoke with Mike Zullo, who led the 5+-year criminal probe into the image posted on the White House website on April 27, 2011 purported to be a scan of a certified copy of Barack Hussein Obama’s long-form birth certificate.

Launched in August 2011 at the commissioning of then-Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the birth certificate investigation was virtually ignoredby the mainstream press and Congress, including two 2012 press conferences in which evidence was made public of investigators’ conclusions that the birth certificate image is a “computer-generated forgery.”

Also found to be fraudulent was Obama’s Selective Service registration form, a claim which then-Selective Service Director Lawrence Romo declined to investigate.

In a third and final press conference held in December, Zullo revealed that two forensics analysts examined the image using two different approaches and reached the same conclusion that the image cannot possibly be authentic.

The Obama White House offered no comment on any of the three press conferences, maintaining its silence until its final days, when then-White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest assured the White House Press Corps that the release of the image was its best effort to dispel rumors that Obama was born outside of the country.

Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution requires the president and commander-in-chief to be a “natural born Citizen.” As a result of news reports published before Obama sought the presidency stating that he was born in either Indonesia or Kenya, many Americans were concerned that he did not meet the constitutional requirements to serve.

During Obama’s occupation of the White House, anyone expressing such doubts was labeled “racist,” “seditionist,” or said to be lying.

In late 2013, Zullo had told radio host Carl Gallups that a third press conference would take place in early 2014, most likely in the month of March. However, with the passage of March and April of that year, Zullo and Arpaio went quiet, and many believed that the investigation had reached its end.

As was revealed later, during that time frame, former NSA/CIA contractor Dennis Montgomery approached Arpaio with the claim that more than150,000 Maricopa County residents were victims of bank-account breaches conducted by a government entity.

Later, it was alleged that federal judges, Donald Trump, Zullo, Atty. Larry Klayman and others were victims of data-harvesting by the federal government.

At approximately 12:00 noon EST on Saturday, Zullo told The Post & Email of Trump’s revelations:

This is information that I had obtained in the initial meetings with Dennis Montgomery. Investigators were aware of the spying on Trump and others back in 2013 as well as possible illegal wiretaps. Sheriff Arpaio and I were aware of this information. The quandary we found ourselves in was that there was nowhere to turn in the normal course of investigative protocol. Concerns were that the DOJ and the FBI were compromised, which necessitated the bringing-forth of Dennis Montgomery to a federal judge, which was accomplished.

Remember when I said back in 2014 that this was “deep and dark?” That’s what I was referring to. This is deep and dark, and now it’s emerging as the “deep state” in the public’s eye.

    from the Guardian article
Later an Obama spokesman, Kevin Lewis, issued a statement that did not deny there was a wiretapping but did deny that Obama ordered one. “A cardinal rule of the Obama administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice,” the statement said.

Trump should have said under obama's watch by one of his agencies...

    obama denied tapping merkel too...

Barack Obama 'approved tapping Angela Merkel's phone 3 years ago'

President Barack Obama was told about monitoring of German Chancellor in 2010 and allowed it to continue, says German newspaper

Mr Obama was told of the secret monitoring of Mrs Merkel by General Keith Alexander, the head of the NSA, in 2010, according to Bild am Sonntag, a German newspaper. Photo: AFP/GETTY

By Philip Sherwell, New York and Louise Barnett in Berlin
    6:18PM GMT 27 Oct 2013

President Barack Obama was dragged into the trans-Atlantic spying row after it was claimed he personally authorised the monitoring of Angela Merkel’s phone three years ago.

The president allegedly allowed US intelligence to listen to calls from the German Chancellor’s mobile phone after he was briefed on the operation by Keith Alexander, director of the National Security Agency (NSA), in 2010.

The latest claim, reported in the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, followed reports in Der Spiegel that the surveillance of Mrs Merkel’s phone began as long ago as 2002, when she was still the opposition leader, three years before being elected Chancellor. That monitoring only ended in the weeks before Mr Obama visited Berlin in June this year, the magazine added.

Citing leaked US intelligence documents, it also reported that America conducted eavesdropping operations on the German government from a listening post at its embassy beside the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, one of more than 80 such centres worldwide.

Mr Obama’s European allies will now ask him to say what he personally knew about the NSA’s global eavesdropping operation and its targeting of world leaders, including those from friendly states. The White House declined to comment on the German media reports.

Last week, however, Mr Obama assured Mrs Merkel that her phone is not being monitored now – and will not be in future. But the US has pointedly declined to discuss the NSA’s actions in the past.
Its surveillance operations raises questions about whether US officials breached domestic laws. Hans-Peter Friedrich, the German interior minister, said: “If the Americans intercepted cellphones in Germany, they broke German law on German soil”. He noted that wiretapping was a crime in Germany and “those responsible must be held accountable”.
Even before the latest reports, German intelligence chiefs were preparing to travel to Washington this week to demand answers from the NSA about the alleged surveillance of Mrs Merkel.
John Kerry, the US secretary of state, received a dose of European fury this weekend when he visited Paris and Rome. The trip was arranged to discuss the Middle East peace process, the Syrian civil war and Iran’s nuclear programme. Instead, he was confronted by outrage over the scale of US surveillance operations.
“The magnitude of the eavesdropping is what shocked us,” said Bernard Kouchner, a former French foreign minister, in a radio interview. “Let’s be honest, we eavesdrop too. Everyone is listening to everyone else. But we don’t have the same means as the United States, which makes us jealous.”
According to the leaked documents in Spiegel, NSA officials acknowledged that any disclosure of the existence of the foreign listening posts would lead to “grave damage” for US relations with other governments.
Such posts exist in 19 European cities, including Paris, Madrid, Rome and Frankfurt, according to the magazine, which has based its reports on documents provided by Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor.
Mr Obama did not comment, but Republican supporters of the US intelligence community began a fightback on the political talk-shows.
Mike Rogers, the chairman of the intelligence committee in the House of Representatives, said that America’s allies should be grateful for surveillance operations which targeted terrorist threats. “I would argue by the way, if the French citizens knew exactly what that was about, they would be applauding and popping champagne corks,” he told CNN’s State of the Union.
“It’s a good thing. it keeps the French safe. It keeps the US safe. It keeps our European allies safe.”
Peter King, a fellow Republican congressman, said that Mr Obama should not apologise for NSA operations in Europe. “The president should stop apologising, stop being defensive,” he said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “The reality is the NSA has saved thousands of lives not just in the United States but in France, Germany and throughout Europe. Quite frankly, the NSA has done so much for our country and so much for the president, he’s the commander in chief. He should stand with the NSA.”
John Schindler, a former NSA official, noted that planning for the terrorist attacks on Sept 11, 2001 had taken place in Hamburg.
“If 9/11 had happened to Germany and been planned in NY not Hamburg, I’d expect [German] intel to monitor USA top 2 bottom,” he wrote on Twitter.
A German intelligence official, quoted by Die Welt, said: “The Americans did not want to rely exclusively on us after September 11th. That is understandable.”
Another told the newspaper: “Without information from the Americans, there would have been successful terrorist attacks in Germany in the past years.”
