Thread: Obama's Acceptance Speech

Well, The way the networks were talking it sounds like Obama is already seated. The main reason Obama is wanted for President is, quote- ("A black president would be a new turning point" for this country,)-unquote
That must be the "change you can believe in"
I'll have to admit, I did like Obama's acceptance speech, let me rephrase that.
I liked the wording of his acceptance speech. But he waited until the very last minute to bring up immigration. But he worded that very carfully, using unspecific words and phrases that sounded good but could easily be redirected.

I have to say that while I strongly disagree with him on immigration, that speech is one of the greatest speeches in American history. Goes to show you what a great country we live in when even people you don't agree with can inspire you.

If I didn't know the facts about Obama and just heard his speech I would probably have been inclined to vote for him. His speech was incredible. I am hoping that Mc Cain will trip him up in the debates; Obama seems to fall apart when he is not in front of a teleprompter.

God help and bless American and keep Obama out of office! His speech reaffirmed what I already knew about him, that is, he is one slippery character and, he will destroy America, given the opportunity.

I don’t like Mc Cain but I think the Republicans would be able to sit on him so that he would not get amnesty completed. Where as, the Democrats are in full agreement with Obama and would work with him to give our America to the illegals.

I am praying that Mc Cain gets a vice –president that is not an amnesty advocate and is on the conservative side.

You've got to be kidding me. The man passes off things like accepting gay marriage and abortion-two things that are an abomination in Holy Scripture as "fresh ideas" or a new way of thinking....then has the gall to quote scripture again to end his speech.

I heard nothing but Socialism at it's finest all thru that speech. It was the only part of the DNC I bothered to watch and I wish I hadn't.

I couldn't stomach listen to him babble. Who cares

I have never understood democrats who believe in killing full term babies and helping people break the law by supporting illegal aliens could EVER call themselves Christians and fall back on Bible verses. It just doesn't work.

Even his "Ending tax breaks for those who out source their business" is hard to believe.

Yawn, I watched pre-season football and found that much more interesting. The news of his acceptance has been almost completely overshadowed by Sarah Palin.

Obama is simply ALL style, NO substance!

I wonder if he'll rename the Hurricanes?
