Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions has the best odds of being selected Donald Trump’s running mate, according to several online betting websites.

The betting website Bavada has Sessions, former House speaker Newt Gingrich, Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker in the lead.

Here are the odds from Bovada:

Jeff Sessions – 2/1
Newt Gingrich – 5/2
Joni Ernst – 12/1
John Kasich – 12/1
Chris Christie – 14/1
Bob Corker – 14/1
Jan Brewer – 16/1
Ben Carson – 16/1
Susana Martinez – 20/1
Sarah Palin – 25/1

The website ElectionBettingOdds.com, which averages odds from betting websites Betfair and PredictIt, also gives Sessions the best odds, giving him a 21.3 percent chance and former House speaker Newt Gingrich at 19.2 percent chance.

Trump has said he would consider Sessions, an ally on illegal immigration and trade. “Jeff Sessions is a fantastic man. Jeff Sessions is one of the most highly respected people in the United States Senate,” Trump said.

Sessions recently told The Daily Caller he is open to serving under Trump, saying: “If I could help him in some way — and he were to ask me — I would consider it like any other citizen should.”

They should be including Scott Brown. I love Sessions, Brewer and others. But we need Sessions in the Senate. But I think Scott Brown would be the best VP choice.
