Benghazi: Just Tell Them What They Want to Hear!

Did you hear about the dictator who was asked by one of his subordinates, "How do we get the people to believe our lies?" The dictator answered, "Just tell them what they want to hear."
America seems to have forgotten the price God has paid on her behalf by shedding His grace upon us through His Son Jesus Christ to establish our given freedoms. Instead of America responding to Law, Judgment, Righteousness and Truth, it seems apparent that God's voice is no longer a permissible objective in the course America is now taking.

"Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." (Proverbs 14:34)

To prove this point, just last week I was listening to a national conservative radio station on my way home. As I was listening, I could not help but notice how the hosts talk around the issues, segment after segment, over and over again, day after day, week after week, month after month, and year after year. Friends, to be quite honest, I wondered if they realized how ridiculous they sound!
The particular topic that was being discussed (TWO YEARS later without any resolve) was "Benghazi." They were posing questions to each other like, "What really happened in Benghazi? Did government officials lie? Where was the president at the time these attacks were going on? Were the talking points purposely changed?"
Since most Americans know the answers to these questions, I have to ask, "Why do people listen to this?"
The enemies of America seem to know that all they have to do is find out what people will submit to, and you have found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong that will be imposed on them. But they also know that they have to get America to first accept the injustice.
    Here are a few examples:
First we have Tommy Vietor, the individual responsible for changing talking points over and over again concerning information that was given to the American people about Benghazi. Tommy changed the talking points to do none other than deceive and mislead the people.
Tommy, in a disrespectful manner said in an interview, "Dude … This was like two years ago." He said this with a big smile on his face!
Do remember that several people were murdered in Benghazi, yet Tommy makes light of it in his continued efforts to cover up the crimes committed by this administration.
Remember friends, Benghazi was TWO YEARS AGO!
Second, we have Jay "The Clown" Carney trying to do his best on camera to shut up reporters who were actually doing their jobs by asking real questions concerning the crimes committed by this administration. He attempts to stonewall and divert the questioning by downplaying the answers, and then goes so far as to step on the facts, which are right in front of the face of the American people, and call the facts "conspiracy theories" – when in fact "theory" is no longer a part of the conversation.
Third, we have Rep. Nancy Pelosi in all of her ignorance and stupidity as she continues to mock those who desire the truth concerning the issues around Benghazi. She called the investigation into Benghazi a "diversion."
She went on to dismiss this administration's crimes toward "We the People" by attempting to minimize their seriousness, saying, "Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi, why are we not talking about something else?"
It is true that "in war, truth is the first casualty." We have war in America because the truth has been the casualty to both those who contrive war and the people who tolerate those who contrive the war (Isaiah 59).
But the good thing here, friends (yes, I am being facetious), is that we still have Rep. Darrell Issa investigating Fast and Furious FOUR YEARS LATER, and TWO YEARS LATER Rep. Trey Gowdy will be heading up an investigative committee on Benghazi.
Is this the voice you want to hear?
    Who loses? America does.
Why? America plays the fool to those who they (the above named) call the fools.
Video: This administration: A failure or a success?

GOP Probe Of Benghazi Holds Political Peril For Both Parties

May 9, 2014 by Personal Liberty News Desk

WASHINGTON — The creation of a special committee to investigate the 2012 Benghazi attacks carries the potential for political gains — and risks — for Republicans.
The House of Representatives voted Thursday create a special panel to investigate the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks, a vote pushed through by the Republican majority on a largely party-line vote.
The panel is to investigate “all policies, decisions, and activities” dealing with the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi that left four Americans dead. Its timetable is open-ended — virtually assuring that hearings will be held, and reports will be issued, as the 2016 Presidential campaign unfolds.
Friday, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) named six Republicans to join Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) on the committee: Representatives Jim Jordan of Ohio, Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia, Mike Pompeo of Kansas, Martha Roby of Alabama, Peter Roskam of Illinois and Susan Brooks of Indiana.
Democrats are torn about whether to participate. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Friday that “this is a stunt,” and she wanted to talk to Boehner before deciding whether, or whom, to name. She also said the families of two of the Benghazi victims had called and said, “Please don’t take us down this path again.”
Republicans, who will rule the committee 7-5, sense potential for staggering President Barack Obama and, perhaps more important, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her way to the 2016 Presidential race. They see fundraising possibilities, as well as a powerful tool for firing up their base for this midterm election, a time when turnout is traditionally low.
Many Republicans also worry they’re playing with political fire.
“The people who are seen as politicizing this are going to get burned” regardless of political party, warned Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
Democrats have their own quandary. If they keep saying it’s all politics, they could look like they’re trying to avoid further examination of how the Barack Obama Administration responded to the attacks that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya.
“If Democrats are seen as not wanting to know more about Benghazi, if they’re seen as protecting the White House and Clinton, they’ll get burned,” Graham said.
Democrats seem unworried by that prospect. “Trying to politicize a tragedy where people lost their lives is not going to work out,” said Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who last week endorsed Clinton for President in 2016.
Since the attacks on the U.S. special mission and nearby CIA annex in Benghazi, Republicans have questioned U.S. security arrangements and the military response to the incident.
Republicans see an opening for embarrassing Clinton, but polling suggests the public is not that interested. And a Pew Research Center survey last year, as Congress held hearings on Benghazi, found one-third of independents thought Republicans had gone too far.
While Republicans tend to follow Benghazi developments, independents and Democrats have been less engaged. When Congress held hearings on the incident a year ago, Pew found that 23 percent of Americans followed the hearings very closely — far behind the 40 percent who were following news about the economy and the rescue of three Cleveland women who had been held captive.
There’s also scant evidence yet that the incident will make much difference if Clinton runs for President. A March Pew poll found two-thirds of Americans approved of the job she did as Secretary of State.
When Pew asked people to cite the most negative thing about Clinton, Benghazi topped the list, but at just 15 percent. Gallup asked a similar question — what would be the worst or most negative thing about a Clinton Presidency — and Benghazi was seventh on the list, at 2 percent. Tops was that she was not qualified, followed by her gender.
Benghazi could matter politically, though, because it motivates Republicans, said Carroll Doherty, Pew director of political research.
The party is trying to show Benghazi is part of a pattern typical of Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013. If she runs, “both in the primary and general she’ll be facing people with almost no foreign policy experience,” said Dan Holler, spokesman for Heritage Action, a conservative political group. “She’ll no doubt try to exploit that.”
If she does, Holler said, Republicans will contend Benghazi “does contribute to a narrative that she was a major player in a foreign policy agenda that is widely seen as a failure.”
“Benghazi is an issue for Hillary Clinton because she was the boss and it’s been handled very poorly from the very beginning,” said Kirsten Kukowski, Republican National Committee spokeswoman.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has been blogging regularly about the new committee, urging donors to “help fight liberals by donating today.”
Democrats, and some Republicans, are furious. “Fundraising off the Benghazi tragedy is despicable and insulting and has no place in the national conversation,” said Representative Steve Israel of New York, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman.
The Benghazi committee chairman was also unhappy. “Certain things … ought to be above politics, like the murder of our four fellow Americans, and like whether you can trust what any administration, Republican or Democrat, tells you in the aftermath of a tragedy,” Gowdy told MSNBC. “That, to me, transcends politics.”
But Boehner won’t tell Republicans to stop. Asked three times at his weekly news conference Thursday whether such appeals were appropriate, he would not answer the question, instead giving roughly the same answer three times: “Our focus is on getting the answers to those families who lost their loved ones, period.”
Be careful, said Democrats and some Republicans. Legitimate questions are being raised, they say. Don’t cheapen the investigation.
“This story is not going away until you can give a coherent answer,” said Graham. “Remember, Republicans are doing well without Benghazi this year, and just being quiet about it is probably smart.
“But ask yourself this: What do we tell the families?” he asked.
