    Political Correctness is Liberal Brainwashing

    Political Correctness is Liberal Brainwashing

    Posted by Dave Jolly

Ever since the first time I heard the term ‘politically correct’ back in the late 1970s, I’ve noticed that it has been an effective tool of liberal brainwashing. If people with a certain agenda can get the general public to use a less offensive term for something, the easier it is get that something to become more acceptable.
The term ‘homosexual’ long carried a very negative stigma with it, as it should. It is an abominable sin in the eyes of God. But gay activists started using the politically correct term ‘sexual orientation’ instead of homosexual. It doesn’t sound so sinful and in fact, it sounds just as normal as being straight. End result, we have homosexuals serving openly in the military, more and more states are legalizing homosexual marriage and the US Supreme Court just overturned the Defense of Marriage Act.
Another politically correct expression is used in reference to the year. BCE (Before Common Era) has replaced BC (Before Christ) and CE (Common Era) has replaced AD (Anno Domini – Latin for ‘year of our Lord’). The politically correct terms were used to help brainwash the people away from Jesus Christ and it has been quite successful, which is why I still use BC and AD.
One of the goals of progressives has been to undermine the institution of marriage. To help them do that, they replaced Mrs. for married women with Ms. which can mean married or unmarried. My wife of nearly 42 years finds Ms. to be offensive and degrading, as do I. Yet, many businesses have turned to using this politically correct term, choosing to insult conservative women for fear of insulting the liberal ones.
What about African American or Native American? I have good friends that legally immigrated here from South Africa. They went through all of the legal channels and processes to become American citizens. They are white and they truly are African Americans and they find the term used for blacks to be very offensive and inaccurate. Most blacks have little to no connection to Africa other than some family history that dates back over 160 years.
The politically correct term ‘Native American’ for an American Indian was coined to promote their agenda of rights. They may have been here before the Europeans, but they did not originate here, rather they immigrated to this area hundreds of years before the Europeans and as far as rights go, they are a conquered people and need to accept that fact. But let me ask you a question: were you born here in America? If so, doesn’t mean that you are a native American also? As much as I hate to admit it, I was born in New Jersey, therefore I’m a native American. Using that term for Indians only is technically discriminatory to the rest of us born here. The only difference is the time frame and our ethnic background which eventually leads back to Noah and then to Adam for all of us.
Another politically correct term that is being used on a large scale by liberal progressives is ‘social justice.’ If they used the term ‘socialist’ or ‘socialism,’ millions of Americans would be outraged and fight against whatever it is the liberals are trying to do. So they coined the politically correct term ‘social justice’ to make it sound acceptable and something that most people would buy right into. After all, who isn’t for justice? But be warned and look closely whenever you see that term being used. It almost always refers to some sort of socialist plan or program that only tears away from America’s foundational beliefs, morals and values.
There is a whole list of politically correct terms that could be discussed here, but I only want to mention one more - ‘undocumented immigrant.’ Liberal Democrats understand that most Americans are against illegal aliens because they have broken the law by entering the country illegally. Democrats need the 11 million illegals to vote in the elections. In order to make them more acceptable to the American public, they coined the term ‘undocumented immigrants.’ Gee, that doesn’t sound nearly as bad does it? It makes them sound more acceptable and their crime less offensive.
I recently received a comment to one of my postings that said ‘referring to illegal aliens as undocumented immigrants is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist’. At first I laughed, but then realized the truth behind it. It really brought home the point that many politically correct terms are nothing more than the attempts of liberals to brainwash Americans into accepting the unacceptable and changing our morals, values and way of life. Folks, they have been very successful. Think twice before using any of these politically correct terms and helping them in their brainwashing of Americans.

I agree 100% that terms can make the guilty look innocent! But I disagree with the term "Ms" being bad for single ladies. "Ms." is more dignified for those of us who are older and haven't married yet than "Miss" which makes you think of a little girl! ;D At this stage of my life I do not wish to be called "Miss"!!
