POLL: Should ALIPAC Support the Tea Parties for April 15?

    Friends,

I have been saying that we should try to forge broader political alliances to address the problems in our nation and to build strength to defeat Amnesty in 2009.

Many of you have suggested that we support the Tea Parties and that we send ALIPACers with fliers and signs and materials to both support their efforts and attract attention to our own.

There is certainly a strong tie between higher taxes and illegal immigration.

I am having some conversations with some organizers of the Tea Parties.

Please vote in this survey and post your opinions here.

It appears Michelle Malkin is on board.

I think at a time like this it is best to be a band of brothers ... I am all for it and think after the little Missouri Episode we need to make more Americans aware of ALIPAC and what cooperation means at a time like this

You Support us and WE Support you mentality needs to be considered

there are 18 tea parties in Florida alone... thats at lot of opportunities to branch out and look for Allies

    my answer is YES

    I voted yes.

I was talking with another alipacer who said that he went to a Chicago Tea Party and they WERE talking about illegal immigration as well.

I think the people that go to these types of events would believe as we do. And it is a large and growing movement. Grab a board and join the wave.

I'll bet that the majority of the people who are mad at all the spending, are the same people who are against illegal immigration. And it's a good way to get more members to help in our fight.

A firm YES. There is a connection to the terrible financial issues this nation is facing and the pressures illegal immigration has put on this nation. California is a prime example of it all.

    YES

Illegal immigration has had a huge impact impact on the economy and the job losses. 69 Billion went out of here in remittances in 2008. I will be attending a Tea Party in Huntsville on the 15th. No more taxes to support illegals and projects that provide jobs to illegals.
I remember Katrina and all the jobs that they brough illegals in to do and let American workers go after they trained the illegals.

Well, after reading all the other posts, I am a wet blanket, but I just want to express my concerns and hear what others think.

    W-

I listened to your radio broadcast today, and was so glad to hear you mention the Tea Parties and the Glenn Beck 9-12 organizations.

I am really optimistic that this Tea Party movement can help our cause. I really believe the majority of Tea Partiers are also opposed to amnesty and the illegal invasion. I think we should support the Tea Parties.

However, I have some concerns that if we sponsor Tea parties and push the illegal immigration issue at the Tea Parties too much at this point, it could backfire on us, for the following reasons:
    1. Though these people are willing to openly oppose taxation, bailouts, and socialistic moves, I think many of them are still skittish about publicly vocalizing their opposition to illegal immigration. This is NOT a rational thing, of course, it is unfortunately due to the success of the ethnocentric pro-amnesty crowd in tying this issue to racism. Though the majority of Americans are opposed to the invasion and know they aren’t racist, many are still, at this point, afraid of being viewed as such by others. I don’t know if they will be ready to publicly vocalize their opposition to amnesty in front of TV cameras.
    2. The liberal media, as well as the left and pro-amnesty crowd, would love nothing more than to be able to tie these movements to “a bunch of extreme racistsâ€
