I read an article earlier that I can't find anymore that was saying Walker had said something about leaving and re-entering legally. I can't find the article now however so can't confirm. But to me that stance has always been a quasi amnesty where you kick them out but also a system to allow them to come back in after a short span as long as they fess up.
If someone else runs across the potential quote to confirm or deny would be good. It was supposedly during his recent trip to a farm.

Just about every politician has a short chain that the Powers that Be yank on. It is mostly because of the "power" of economic statistics. And I certainly don't argue that increasing immigration of all sorts---legal and illegal---makes the numbers improve. This, however, does not necessarily mean that quality of life is improving. For starters, even if the statistics and numbers seem to improve, inflation also rears its ugly head. We see that happening in our state with real estate values in certain areas going through the roof.
There ARE ways to improve your life---no matter what these economic indicators show. Unfortunately it is very hard to find a candidate who will buck them, when push comes to shove."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David

I remember reading that too. However, I didn't read anything about setting up a special system for them to return. Basically what I remember reading was that they all had to leave and get in back of the line in their own country to apply legally. Of course that means most of them will never gain approval to return.
Came back to edit this after finding the story you're talking about. There is nothing in the story about setting up a special system for reentry.

Doesn't mean he doesn't have a plan of that sort. After all what about all the illegal aliens with anchor babies. We know how they will cry when mommy and daddy can't get back into the country or even have to wait 21 years as some other countries have to do. Not sure where he really stands though and that is part of the issue. I don't think he has really laid down a specific plan on removing them and ending the magnets then with his comment on coming back legally makes me wonder if its just another BS *They have to leave, pay a fine, and then can come back legally* nonsense.

It also doesn't mean that he does. He didn't say "they have to leave, pay a fine, and then can come back legally." What he said was, "those living here need to leave and reenter legally." What that means is they must go through the legal process of applying for entry. Of course we know must of them would never be accepted for reentry. If they could get in that easy they wouldn't be pouring across the border illegally. Right or wrong, that's my read on his position. One things for sure, no other candidate has suggested such a thing. Even Trump recently said he supported an amnesty for those being productive and working hard.
