I am hispanic and I am against the dream act.
Many of these illegal aliens want the Dream Act so they can get FINANCIAL AID! I am fluent in spanish and have talked to a few illegals that have told me that is the reason why they "pray" is passes. Many hard working US Citizen cannot qualify for this assistance.

I was shocked to learn that the State of Texas has a program that provides assistance to illegal aliens. They even offer the application in spanish!
I wrote my representative to express my outrage, but only received a standard reply.

It's not only Texas, it is nationwide. Illegals are receiving benefits and other incentives to remain in this country. It's all a part of the "master plan." A country that is serious about securing its borders does not provide freebies to those who enter illegally. It's a no-brainer!

Welcome Feduphispanic. Glad to have you. Have you heard of the group, "You Don't Speak For Me"? It was started by a hispanic man who was outraged at the marches by illegals and their OBL supporters in the streets last year. They have over 5,000 members. I'm very impressed by them.

Thank you, feduphispanic, for speaking up! I received that very letter, I believe, from TX Senator Kay Baily Hutchison in this afternoon's mail. Nonetheless, we have defeated the Senate general amnesty bill once and the Dream Act several times, and I am convinced that, working together, we can turn this tide. Don't be discouraged!
