    NEW Fayetteville St. Mall? I used to work down there in the 1st Citizens Bank Building years ago. Whoa!

    I wonder if they chickened out for a reason. I wonder if the scheduled protests took place in Charlotte and Siler City. Anyone heard?

    Yes. the New Fayetteville St. Mall. Since you had worked there you will remember it was just one big sidewalk. The city has decided to rip up the side walk and make it into a road with parking spaces on either side..

    It's another effort to bring more people to downtown raleigh, and to ease traffic in the area.
