RECALLING BUSH
What is the procedure and guidelies to recall a president?
Can a broad based coalition be formed to provide the resources and get the job done?
Can there be a consensus on who will lead the recall effort?
What is the likleyhood the American people would vote in favor of recall?
Is it wise to divert volunteer energies to such a course of action?
Is he gone yet?

My question is if he were to be impeached who would step into presidency?
And at this moment and time, (as much as i want him impeached) would that set our government in such a state of chaos that it opens the door for larger invasion, corruption etc.

The congress (house) is the one to file charges of impeachment...since he is a liar and a traitor they should have done that already.
The vice president is the one who takes the place of the pres unless there are charges filed and proven against the vice pres also. If he is charged and resigns or is impeached then the speaker of the house (Dennis Hastert) becomes the pres.
Frankly, I don't see the impeachment happening...there is too much corruption in both house and senate...and they don't want the truth about THEM to come out.
There are some clean ones..Rep Ron Paul of Texas, Tom Tancredo of Colo and a few others.
As far as the PEOPLE recalling Bush, I'm not sure we can do that....

Oaky, we remove Bush. Who do we have to replace him with? The second banana guy is just as bad.

There is no provision for recall for any Federal office.
Bush has a little less than three years left, and unfortunately we have to live with it, because a large number of people adopted a win at all cost attitude in 2000. Maybe this will be a lesson going forward that the lesser of two evils is still evil.
It is amazing how someone can be hated so much from two different sides for two completely different sets of reasons. How can anyone like him?

Here is my spin.
We have a very disgruntled public, which doesn't seem comfortable with either party right now. Secondly, we have some third parties that are trying to rise up and take votes in the future. Even new ones, we know nothing about. Third, we have a subculture that is socialist and could be future third party.
In essence, we are stuck with our two party system, otherwise, we run the risk of loosing the election to socialist/pro-illegals. Also, remember how crazy it was when the Green party or Libertarians pulled votes from the Democrats and the Republicans took Office. If the 3rd Party had stayed out of it, the votes would have remained in the Democrats coffer and we would have elected Gore. I think it was the Gore/Bush race.
Right now, I feel a 3rd party will do us all a disservice. It's throwing away your vote, when you could be choosing the best thing you can. Don't get me wrong, I voted for Ross Perot, just to make a point but I knew the country was sound and far from the terrible state it is in today. Also, Ross wasn't going to get elected but I did like his Voodoo Economics.

It would be unlikely Libertarians would vote for Gore. Many would not vote have voted for Bush, but I bet most simply would not have voted.
The reason things will never get better regarding the choice of two bad candidates is because we have pluralty elections. If the winner required a majority of votes (or a runnoff when it doesn't happen) people would be free to select who they want, instead of relying on "strategic voting" to prevent the worst candidate from winning.
I have not cast a vote in my lifetime for anyone I have liked, it has always been against the worst side. I will no longer play that game anymore.

The only time it is throwing away a vote is if the majority vote for more corruption in the parties they always have voted for. another words only if everyone else is to damn scared to vote outside of their norm.
Neither democrat or republican have anything or anyone saving grace here. Nor the desire to save it. At this moment in time a vote in either of those directions is also a thrown away vote.

The way I had 3rd party explained is even if your throwing your vote away,if the party get a certian precentiage of the vote they get federal dollars like the dems and repubs
