Thread: Give it away America?

Someday it will be written. The United States of America was the world's greatest economic powerhouse from 1945 to 1975. Then, it was all given away as the country got lazy and greedy. Factories were shut down and paper pushing became the new economy. Foreign workers were allowed in even as jobs were exported. America lived good on credit, for a while, and then, one day China suddenly became the worlds greatest power on earth.

It all gets down to individual survival. There ARE too many "paper pushers" and our educational system just turns out more every year. I think it started with the GI Bill; they wanted to provide everyone a professional career---and you just can't do it. This country has tried to keep that system afloat with massive immigration, Now the issues are finally reaching a state of critical mass.

No, China will be a great power; it will take over a lot of the functions that this country and other advanced ones thought they had a lock on. I think we do need to regain ability in craftlike and industrial skills, but we will also have to stay far ahead of what other countries could produce with cheaper labor.

Americans need to be taught basic financial survival skills. Homebuilding is a critical one. Until that happens it's just going to be every man for himself to find a way to cope with that loss of economic security.

As inflation kicks in we will see more outsourcing. Workers will require more in wages and this combined with regulations and tax policies will drive more money to seek cheaper goods and services. JMO

Almost ... but as China licked its chops, the Americans woke up and said this isn't what our forefathers intended, this isn't what our parents worked so hard to pass to us, and this isn't what we want to hand-off to the next generation of Americans. And as the words were spoken and transmitted far and wide across the internet, the people rose up and said "NO", that is not what being an American is, that is not what America is about, this is not what our forefathers dreamed of and fought for, this is wrong and it must be stopped, and everyone agreed but many asked "how do we stop it?"

And the answer went viral across the internet to the hearts, minds and souls of the American People, and the answer was:

We stop the end of our country with enforcement of the very things that began it, the US Constitution and the Rule of Law.

Test:

1. Is the federal government responsible for immigration under the US Constitution? No, it is not. States are responsible for immigration, the federal government may stop it, prohibit it, restrict it, but it can not permit it, grant it, expand it, or increase it by even 1 person without the prior legislative approval of the states affected by it. This must be enforced.

2. Are children of illegal aliens US citizens upon birth? No, they are not, because they are not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, they are subject to the jurisdiction of the country in which their parents are citizens. This must be enforced.

3. Can US citizens be dual citizens? No, they may not. US citizens must pledge allegiance to the United States, and no other nation. Dual citizenship is de facto dual allegiance which is prohibited for US citizenship. This must be enforced.

4. Is free trade constitutional? No, it isn't. Why not? Because it fails to meet the test of promoting the general welfare of the people of the United States and our posterity as set forth in the preamble to the United States Constitution and the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.

5. Is mandated direct taxation constitutional? No, it isn't. Why not? Because it fails to meet the test of both promoting the general welfare of and securing the blessings of liberty for the people of the United States and our posterity as set forth in the preamble to the United States Constitution.

It's not complicated. It's very simple. Lets go out there and fix our country, folks. Make November count on the issues crucial to saving our country. Americans have never been lazy or greedy, and we aren't now. We've just been sold out and betrayed while we were busy working and paying the bills and unwittingly lining the pockets of the traitors trying to bankrupt our nation in order to dissolve it.

As far as India is concerned, the equation that has made outsourcing so attractive is changing, and one of the main things propping it up now is an artificially low rupee. Once the rupee rises against the dollar again, it will wither even more. If the rupee hits the mid thirties against the dollar, it's over for them.

Easy, build quality products,greed got us to this point, yes, government regs helped but the main problem is greed, fast profits/ stocks and its killing our middle class, we must manufacture if we are to maintain a middle class, simply there is no way out of this unless we once again build and sell the best, a consumer/service society is a disaster and serves only the poor and rich.

There is a place for services and knowledge work, but a big problem is, we build, or know how to do, something really great, then we give it away. The entire H-1B visa has worked as on-the-job training for foreign workers who then move the work overseas and do it remotely. That was a big mistake. We need to stop giving away the store. For the last decade, our government has aided and abetted the process of transferring millions of lines of work - jobs that used to support American families - overseas. They have imported over a million foreign workers to train for jobs formerly held by American workers. Excellent point, Betsy Ross. And so true. It was absolutely done intentionally and deliberately, and it must stop. What an insult to American Workers, they train the foreign workers who are stealing their jobs right out from under their noses laughing and giggling all the way to the bank. Just like illegal aliens are laughing and giggling at us all the way to the bank. Only pure evil in our government would pass laws that pave the road for such a travesty.
