I remember a time when Pres. Clinton was in office and it was discussed that if we were at war, the two term limit an elections could be waived.

As to how the military - that is why I have been thinking how many illegals are in the military.

It only takes 10% of a population (at either end of the income spectrum) for a successful revolution!

Remember FDR? He was voted into office of President 4 times. He used WWII as the excuse. He also put into place many socialistic agendas. Now those agendas are biting us in the backside.

Godhelpus give the man credit. Social security was a good idea. He had no idea that the trust fund would be raided by politicians who never saw a pork project they didn't like. Another thing leading to the downfall of the SSA is administering the SSI program for aged and disabled who have not paid in. This program was once called AFTD and was administered by counties for a fraction of the cost and it wasn't accompanied by free medical care for life or a generous retirement stipend. When the illegals are granted amnesty and they are allowed to bring their parents here the parents will qualify for SSI and in California that is over $800 a month with free HUD housing and Medicaid. That's a lot of free loot. They should be able to get some pretty nice trucks to park on the lawn.

Sorry man, but I think your post proved my point. If these programs didn't exist then they couldn't be exploited and used fraudulently. Depending on the government for anything excecpt what our Founding Fathers provided for in the Constitution is a dangerous slippery slope.

Rush changed his tune because he did not want to lose the majority of his audience. Now that he has caught on let's hope we see some more conservatives actually behave in a conservative manner.

Whoa pardner! That's like saying if guns didn't exist then no one would ever be shot. Thanks just the same, but I'll be hanging on to mine.

Before Social Security, the elderly physically incapable of working begged, tried for charities, ended up in state-paid poorhouses, moved in with family, or died. It would be nice, however, if the politicians would keep their grubby slimey little paws out of it. And they should pay back what they 'borrowed' with interest.

Oh, not to mention, the Founders didn't provide some rights for me (such as the right to vote), so Amendments 11-27 are fine by me.

We need our safety net programs. We just don't need to have them exploited by this tidal wave flowing across the border. Our own disabled and aged people are getting short changed. It used to be possible to place disabled people in long term jobs that fit their abilities now it's easier for the employer to just go with the illegal. Also neighborhood high school kids working in fast food have been replaced by illegals who either by accident or design never understand your order.

I think so too. However, my wallet doesn't look like it'll cover another 100 million. This could cure me.

News Flash: Illegal immigrants are, by definition, ILLEGAL. Their very presence in the country is a crime. I don't know why it's so hard for some folks to wrap their heads around this concept. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but why in the world are they allowed to collect AFDC, food stamps, Medicaid, Title 20 funding, etc.?!

Is anyone familiar with Arizona's law on denying social services to illegals?
