Why won't Americans unite to protest Illegals?

Is it me or what? I don't understand why Americans are not getting together to protest the invasion of country. After 9/11 everyone was ready to buy flags and show their support. Why are our radio stations not trying to gather people together? Why is everyone quiet as another country waves their flag? If they wanted to be Americans why wouldn't they say that? Instead they are screaming the country name of where they are from and telling another country what they will and will not do. Why isn't anyone upset? Look in all history books, the first thing a country does when they take over a country after they have won. They hang their flag? Is this not what's going on? Haven't we lost our country? What do our troops feel about this? How do you think they feel? Why doesn't the media believe they have a voice? How would you feel if your were fighting for this country and you watch on T.V that people are parading around your country with another land's flag and screaming their country name and saying they have rights in your country and telling your country they are not going anywhere. Why don't they tell us how our American troops feel about this? They are the ones who are supposed to protect this country. No one is saying anything. WHY DON'T AMERICANS CARE? OR WILL WE CARE WHEN WE ARE A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY AND IT'S TOO LATE?

So lets do something about it...

We need to encourage people in our country to understand what is going on. It is not so much that people dont care but more that many dont know what is going on. They are in the dark.

We must tell ALL our contacts and help them understand what is really happening. this will need to be a grass roots led effort because it seems our governmental systems are not supporting us either. i.e. the politicians - many of them (not everyone is a Tom Tancredo - thx Tom

So the idea is for everyone who reads this to THINK CAREFULLY about who you know and help educate them. Once they are educated help them take ACTION. This action may be joining ALIPAC or Numbersusa.com. From there people can find their congressmen and sentors phones, faxes, emails and office addresses. Then lets CALL our representatives.

Let them know if they dont hear the voice of the American peple then they will not be elected next time.

We need to virally grow the base of americans who understand whats really up here. A fight for our future and our way of life and our culture.

I've wondered that myself. I know I'm ready willing and able. Also scared to be honest. Not too keen on getting arrested, tear gassed or hosed and I'm sure there would be police pressence there. But not so scared as not to do it. As for others I know many say it wouldn't matter, can't afford to take the day off work {and I'm sure it would be a rare breed of an employer to give people the day off}, or just not aware of when an event would be scheduled. But I'm with you, we just can't do nothing. I've seen this comming for years and have raised a ruckus from time to time only to have to keep doing it each year. Like wanting to force my kids to learn Spanish coz it would be easier than making the mexicans learn English. So if you hear of something share the word coz I'll be there with bells on and waving an American flag!

Expressing an opinion can be done openly, privately or both ways.
    - Expressing an opinion openly, collectively gets the message accross fast and in real-time. All the passion and the openness of direct and unfiltered public rallies or marches do normally reach audiences of mediatic size and grade, often broadcasted live
    - The private approach gets the message across at differential times. Strength depends on the wording and easily exposed to interpretation. Another important consideration… when using this approach by internet or mailing, the message may be subjected to filtering before it reaches the relatively limited intended target. It is slow and labor intensive compared to a marche, but leaves a hard copy to the addressee.

I also have a lot to said about the immigration bill because if it passes it would definitely affect very badly many american and legal immigrant jobs, not only farming or jobs americans don’t want, but it will affect many high paying jobs in the tech sector now held by Hindians (not the native american indians but the ones from india) and illegals from asia and from latin america. If it passes would also mean high housing and grocery costs, high everything will remain high. Many more unemployed and low income americans will not be able to keep bread and butter coming on the dining table and could also see their american dream vanish for ever. Wouldn’t you marche to get the message quickly to the politicians and help prevent these from happening? I would join you to defend the cause!

That was my humble view…hoping that I expressed it within constitutional rights or what is left of them without offending anyone.
    God bless you all

    possible answers

I think there are many reasons Americans don't respond.

    a) they think their elected officials will take care of business. There is a long tradition in American politics where the elected officials say, "Hey, we are the bright ones, we are the ones who know what to do, you the commoner, just go to work and buy shoes and watch the baseball game. We know what's best for you. This goes all the way back to the founding fathers.

    b) It is difficult for Americans to believe that there are people out there who want to do bad. That change some with 911, but not much.

    c) Get a real perspective on the situation. Live abroad. I have lived abroad for 10 years. I am originally from California. Peace, love and beaches. I have lived in South Korea, Laos and The United Arab Emirates, all basically third world countries. PEOPLE STRUGGLE ON A HUGE LEVEL IN THESE PLACES, ON LEVELS THAT AMERICANS COULD NEVER UNDERSTAND UNTIL THEY SEE IT WITH THEIR OWN EYES. I didn't understand anything about America until I moved abroad. Americans don't understand HOW HUNGRY 3RD WORLD PEOPLE ARE FOR THE FREEDOMS THAT WE TAKE FOR GRANTED.

There are great things about the places I have lived, all of them have wonderful things to offer, but none of them offer the jobs, social freedoms, and rights that the US does. Mexicans understand that, Americans, sorry to say (because they have nothing to compare it to) don't unerstand it.
    examples:
South Korea: basic 3rd world male dominated society. If a woman gets beaten by her husband and she calls the cops. The police say, "Sorry, we don't get involved in domestic disputes." So the drunk husband continues to beat her because no one will stop him. I had many male neighbors who beat their wives on a monthly basis. The women have to suffer because no one wants to help them. Who wouldn't want to leave a place like that?

Laos: Beautiful tropical paradise where the average Lao person is kind. It is also communist. Your name gets entered into a book when you move into a new neighborhood. If you move, you get crossed out of one book and added to the new neighborhood's book. Ever see anything like that in the US? Wouldn't dream of it. Here is one for you, ready? In Laos THERE IS NO WRITTEN LEGAL CODE...NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you go to court, you are at the mercy of the judge, who has no cases to base his jugement on. He settles the case on who pays him the most.

United Arab Emirates: Nice place, great food, nice beaches. Woman are not allowed to leave the home without permission from father or brother. Some women are not allowed to leave the living room without permission.

Here are the questions. Do Americans understand what it is like to be a female victim of spousal abuse with no recourse, where the police will not even respond to the call? No

Do Americans understand what it is like to have to enter your name in the sector chief's book when you move in or out of a neighborhood. Or that you would need a special transit visa to travel from Nevada to California. No way.

Do American women understand what it would be like to ask permission to leave the house, let alone drive a car or get a job. I have a friend whose wife took a driving test with a manual transmission car. The Regsitry of Motor Vehicle people (men) were shocked that a woman was capable of driving a stick!!!

Americans don't understand how wonderful America is. They don't understand the struggle that Mexicans have to go through, like paying off corrupt police or greasin whatever wheel needs greasing. 3rd world people are hungry for American freedoms, opportunities and rights.

Americans have, to some degree, lost that perspective.

I am totally opposed to any changes to HR4377 and think the Chamber of commerce, employers, the Catholic Charities and Home Depot should be charged with aiding and abetting illegal aliens. I think all the illegal aliens should take their struggle to their own countries. But, it's easier to just go to the US and it seems to get easier every year. So, come they do, in part because...and I hate to say this, we let them.

There is no way in hell Mexico would allow a proportionate number of illegal Americans into Mexico.

Americans need to step back and think about how great their country is and fight for it!

For the same reason that Americans are complacent when judges all over the country give no jail time to child rapists and ten year sentences to first degree murderers. For the same reason that Americans are complacent while our govt evicts property owners out of their homes and forces them to sell their property to developers for the purpose of increasing govt revenues. For the same reason that the American people are complacent about a million other issues. People have been living in their own little bubbles for so long now that even when something happens that personally affects them, the idea of taking action isn't even considered by many.

We come out as the bad guys, the oppressors.
Many americans are apathetic and lazy and think this will come to pass. Such an attitude has lead us into this current situation.

I wish I knew the answer...I tried to start up a board where we could discuss a march since I knew William did not favor it...EIGHT people joined up! You cannot build a march on eight people.

I think that people will say things anonymously that they will not say publicly. I think that we are so intimidated by the politically correct that we are embarrassed to disagree. The bad part is that we are running out of time.
