SB 1070 is very unkind and is helping no one...

As the rhetoric and marches continue here in Phoenix...the mantra is that those that support boarder protection are mean, racist, bigots and cold hearted human beings. I wonder what their opinion is of the business of human trafficking? AmNasty will promote a huge wave of this abuse.

Police weighing Arizona's immigration bill's impact
by Alia Beard Rau and JJ Hensley - Apr. 22, 2010 12:00 AM
    The Arizona Republic

The nation's toughest immigration effort has yet to be signed into Arizona law, but public-safety and legal experts from across the nation already are debating its ramifications.

Arguments are raging in the media, over dinner tables and on the front steps of the state Capitol about what the immigration measure would mean for police, municipalities and Arizona residents if it became law.

After the bill becomes law, 460,000 illegal alien will find themselves in a precarious position. Additionally, employers will face felony crimes, heavy fines and jail time. The law will create an exodus from Arizona which will open up jobs at a living wage for Americans and reduce educational, medical and prison costs as illegals vacate Arizona.

Subsequently, the illegals may return to Mexico, or they may hit other states. One way or the other, it will create a new dynamic, which will force neighboring states to also vote for laws that stop continued illegal alien lawlessness.

For more information: www.azleg.gov to download SB 1070. Also, call Arizona Governor Jan Brewer in support of the bill: Ph. 602 542 4331

How stupid can you truly get...

Colorado Springs Chief Richard Myers, who weighed in on the issue Wednesday, said Arizona residents may not like what that enforcement looks like.

"If I have a shots-fired call or the potential to stop someone who might be checked for documented status, I'm going to do that before I respond to shots fired because I won't get sued if don't respond to shots fired," he said.

GascĂłn said the bill also will have "catastrophic impacts on community policing."

"People will be more hesitant to report crimes, and that will create some very, very tough circumstances for local police in dealing with crime issues in areas heavily visited by people here from other countries," he said.
