I think everyonce can have doubt about his "conversion to Christianity" -- I feel he will put American on the roal to Hell onf Earth. Heck I would rather live under Putin than OBama. He will give manesty without conditions to illegals, he will force people to speak SPanish. So, what you're saying is Bush is the Socialist, and since Socialism is the stepping stone to Communism, and Obama isn't a Socialist, the only logical conclusion we can reach is that Obama is a full blown Communist.

But in reply to the original post, I grew up in the 1950's and during the McCarthy era, my grandmother (here legally) decided to go back to the old country to die. Unfortunately, the old country was behind the Iron Curtain, so she had to deal with the Russian Embassy.
One night embassy officials showed up at the house to interview my grandmother. The next night the FBI arrived to interview my grandmother and parents about the Russian Embassy visit. As a five-year-old sitting in grandma's lap, it is a memory that I can't shake.
I seriously feel that with the Patriot Act, unwarranted spying on Americans for no reason, a visit by the Secret Service or the FBI is not out of question these days. We seem to have gone back to the good old days of fear, where freedom of speech can get one into a bit of trouble.
