I wonder if any of these Senators who are such die-hards against E-Verify, just might have a history of employing or maybe even had some kind of other personal relationship with illegal aliens sometime in their past? ... It seems like now days being both a politician and crooked is just part of the job qualification to get ahead in politics... Ask Obama about his choice of all his honorable cabinet picks?

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) attempted to offer his E-Verify amendment (SA 239) to the economic stimulus package, but Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) prevented him from doing so. SA 239 would have required all businesses and localities that receive stimulus money to use the E-Verify employment verification system. Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.), who had earlier supported Sen. If the truth be told, there is always some motive based on personal gain, be it employment-related or something else.

I saw a couple of Republican senators(I can't recall who they were)--- on Fox yesterday, asking that all hearings between House and Senate re: the stimulus package be televised so that the American people know what they're dealing with. This came on the heels of the revelation about possible health-care rationing and restrictions on medical research. I do hope such hearings comes to pass, and I've already contacted my representatives about this.

I heard through another party that eligibility for construction work will be restricted to union workers, which, if the case, means SEIU members(many of which are probably illegals). Does anyone have further information about that?

Interesting you bring this up as my faxes to congress thru Numbers USA have really gotten nasty lately. I used a lot of restraint in the past, but that restraint is slipping away.
