I know Richard has always talked about what a big contribution the Dreamers could make to their home countries.

So I was thinking what if the US came up with a program to convince them to voluntarily return to their home countries, once there they would increase economic opportunities and might advocate for social change and equality, these changes in turn might convince their less educated fellow countrymen illegally in the US to follow them.

Some suggestions to get the Dreamers to leave voluntarily:

1. Exemption from the 10 year illegal alien re-entry ban.

2. Six months of free classes to learn about their home countries culture, history, and language. They always use this as an excuse for not returning.

3. $1000 towards college fees in their home country. Think of it as a Marshall Plan.

The US has already done something similar with the Vietnamese boat people in Asian refugee camps who could not prove political persecution. The US gave $1000 to each family to voluntarily return to Vietnam, and once there if they could provide more documentation they were allowed to re-apply for political refugee visas.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Maybe we could lobby Brian Bilbray to introduce some type of "Home Country Dream" legislation like this in Congress.
