While I understand your statement asa, keep in mind that the states need not obey an unconstitutional law or judgement just because the congress or the supreme court has made a law or ruling. There is the nullification right and impeachment of any scoundrels that may exhibit 'bad behavior."
Perhaps it is time to up the ante?

05-19-2010, 08:37 AM #22Why not work to overturn the ruling of providing free "emergency care" or "free schooling" for every illegal who shows up for both? Both of those laws have been used and abused leading us to the brink of economic disaster. While I understand your statement asa, keep in mind that the states need not obey an unconstitutional law or judgement just because the congress or the supreme court has made a law or ruling. 05-19-2010, 08:46 AM #23That's exactly right! It is up to the people to want to preserve the Constitution enough to stand up against internal tyranny. Doing so is a tall order that borders on having to have almost the same courage that the original instigators of the first revolution had to have.

We don't have the availability of the MSM which would make this very easy leaving us only with the internet as a tool to be able to accomplish the task. That too is under attach from Obama as he tries to as quickly as possible grab control so they can 'regulate' the types and kinds of information we'll be able to access and share. The FCC is now trying to declare the internet as a utility so that they can take over total control of the internet.
They have the support of the access providers because they've been lied to that they will be able to charge for access to certain sites and certain categories of sites. However, Obama is not to be trusted. As soon as they get control it will not be long before under the guise of regulation access is nationalized.

I had the pleasure of meeting one of the awakened last week, just bumped into him and we struck up some small talk, long story short, this man carries a copy of the Constitution with him. His mission? To take back what has been stolen, to learn, and to fight.
and,
Agreed, and a great assessment of our tools for communication. I have long pushed and voiced my opinion concerning the media(s), and am a strong advocate for a boycott of Hollywood. When Americans choose to no longer participate, then the revenue will trickle downward and the economic impact will force the medias to reassess their programming. Freedom of the press and the medias warrants the freedom to NOT participate in that which will undermine the participant. Why bring a rope to your own hanging? If Americans wish for an unfettered internet, then they must be willing to send a strong message to the medias and to the government. Will you subscribe to a government controlled internet? We don't have the availability of the MSM which would make this very easy leaving us only with the internet as a tool to be able to accomplish the task. Twenty-five yrs., TV free. I will not participate. I will not bring a rope to my own hanging.

Re: The Simple Solution To Illegal Immigration
The answer to this problem starts with absolutely shutting down that border. A wall is not going to do it. Honestly, the only way to really keep the Mexican hordes from invading the US is to saturate the entire border with land mines. They should post huge billboards all over the place, in Spanish for those Mexicans who can actually read, informing them of what's been done and that they proceed at their own risk to life and limb. I know that's a politically incorrect solution, but I believe it would work better than anything else that I've heard proposed.

A pathway to citizenship begins at the end of the line, and the line is outside of our borders. There is already a long line of people wanting to come here legally, if we are going to find a path to citizenship, it should begin by swapping 1 for 1 illegals with people wanting to enter legally, then you don't diminish the workforce or put a strain on any economy, in fact it would bolster the economy as the new legal immigrant would not be in the shadows.

welcome Fred, you are not the first to suggest this. and Im sure you wont be the last one either.
I do think a fence will work as long as its like the double layer border fence that is along the border south of san diego. After all, its a proven fact that crime has gone down since the fence has been built.
so beside land mines, what else do you propose to stop it

05-20-2010, 06:50 AM #28I think that the mines would probably do it, but I would certainly not oppose some combination of mines with the kind of double layer border fence that you mentioned. Perhaps the mines could be laid between the two fences.

Welcome to ALIPAC FredDerf and ModocKansas........
Asa ...that was a great video of you and speaking out. That is the way I feel. The ones calling attention to Arizona and wanting to bycott them are actually the ones that hold a prejudice and a racist feeling towrds others. Arizona is doing what it needs to do to protect their citizens just as other states should be doing now. All you have to do is listen to some of the news the main stream media does not report and you know you will have to defend yourself. I feel their law will hold up. It is mirrored after the federal laws! What is a travesty is the ones speaking out against the law are the ones that have not even read it. Just as our great new health care bill..............BUT THEY PASSED IT!"When you have knowledge, you have a responsibility to do better"_ Paula Johnson
