Pence Plan....is it about to go through ?

The Middle East.....I saw on TV these anti-war protesters IN ISRAEL no less and it just hit me how I could see that happening over here so easily. I don't know how everyone feels about it and I didn't mean to get into a big debate on this, but I assume MOST people think Israel has a right to defend herself, maybe not everyone, I don't know. But the point is if we had a terrorist attack and decided to defend ourselves I could just see all these illegal aliens and their supporters in the streets screaming that WE DON'T HAVE A RIGHT to defend ourselves.

MOST of these people are people who "don't like war"....as if WE DO LIKE WAR.....but the point is they "RUN" and "WE DON'T RUN" and this is going to cause chaos in America when the time comes. I hear them all the time calling Bush a "war monger"......okay evenif you're against Iraq and maybe we did go to the wrong country......but still these people who have no right to even be here shouldn't be telling US when and how and what to do regarding our national security.

Please don't let this get into a pro-con war discussion, I'm just trying to say that THEY WILL BE IN THE STREETS again if things turn to where we HAVE to utilize our military in any way.

I don't know I just feel that we're on a collision course with SOMETHING.

Yesterday I was talking to a friend who is from an Island country and we mentioned how bad the Middle East crisis is and do you know what she said ? She said "The real problem is AMERICAN TERRORISTS."

Do you know how I felt ?? We have two kids quickly approaching the age where they could be drafted and they say they're "ready, willing and able" and I hear someone who doesn't know a thing about our history or what is really going on in the world and she thinks "American terrorists" are the problem ??

Why should my kids go and risk their lives when the government has put our country in this position of being full of people with anti-American sentiment and people who believe you can "RUN' from those who's focus is to destroy you and your country. It just makes me sick.

That's why we need to retain the concept of "fighting words." When someone utters trash like that, they need to be slapped silly.

The first thing that crosses my mind about the middle-east......is the WISDOM of our forfathers to SEPERATE CHURCH from STATE. Their government and their relegion are so entertwined.....it's almost impossible to seperate. We are there with the diversity and to how to let it all work together. There's a point to which it can be done....and then there's that line......I don't care how liberal you are, how Christian you are.......I loved the statement someone made.....some people can't and weren't ment to get along side by side and shouldn't be forced to. This is one of those situations. I personally am on the side of Isreal. The way I see it......they are not much different than us. But I'm not a professor on this topic........It's just my view.

actually illegals would like it. See it would create a humanitarian crisis and they would be "refugess" legally allowed to cross the border and legally allowed to stay.

I think I understand how you feel Legal and someting like this could very well happen some time.
When I came back from Nam the first thing I heard from an Americans mouth was to call me a baby killer and things went downhill from there.
No parents want their kids to go to war but many of those now fighting have kids of their own and feel they are fighting for them.
I have a great faith in America's youth, they have shown themselves to be some very patriotic Americans.
I have seen war and I wish nobody would ever see it again, you are right though, Americans will not run!

The Shhht has been hitting the fan so much on this issue over the last year that I can no longer see the fan just a large pile of shhht.

I think the fan is under there somewhere. We now have a case of the shht hitting the shht that once hit the fan. Perhaps I should unplug the fan?

I was holding this in since yesterday, trying not to bring it up, because I know we are all feeling enough stress. But today when I saw on TV the anti-war protesters in Israel, it just brought the vision of the illegals protesting in our streets next because of something else and then we will have people not even LEGALLY here doing that when our fellow Americans and loved ones are putting theirs lives on the line.

I just felt a bit overwhelmed knowing that what I think is probably right. There is just too much anti-Americanism going on in our country and I truly believe not respecting our country's immigration laws is an act of anti-Americanism and self-gain and I truly believe that this will just grow and spread even more. When you have upwards towards 20 million people who have entered our country ILLEGALLY, I view that as an act of aggression upon the American people and a definite INVASION. Why aren't those who we put our trust in, whether they are Democrats or Republicans protecting us ?

I just beg President Bush and our congress to stop allowing this to happen to our country. Sometimes it's just downright painful to be an American right now.

I'm okay and I hope you are too. Thank you for your understanding and your support. The Middle East crisis is certainly not helping our stress levels.

These anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-America, Socialists and Communists are planning to protest the Minutemen, Jim Gilchrist group in NYC the end of this month.

They plan to be there by hundreds....see my previous post on "if our government isn't watching this group we are in trouble."

Now don't anyone yell at me, but this is the way I feel about the Mideast's constant wars.

I would like the USA to stay out of all of it, protect OUR borders and no one else's. Foreign countries are constantly yelling for our help in one way or another, then when we do what they want, they damn us!

It was Chalibis (sic), from Iraq that wanted us there, now we have Iranians wanting us in their country..they are here lobbying right now....

I am sick of it. I say let them handle their own affairs and if they can't then they better grow a spine and learn right quick, and learn how to provide for their people, and not send them here, like Mexico does!

Well William,

I think the SHHHT hitting the SHHHT that once hit the fan is about to hit with a force we've not heard so far in the form of the pence plan. Problem is, though, that it's so stealth that Americans might not hear the sound until after it's struck and it's too late!!

We better unplug that fan -yesterday- cause, folks........they've a huge head start on us!
