In-State Tuition Battle
Thanks for the fight, William. They stated that those children who did not come here of their own volition but were brought here. All I can say to that is that they could have whoever brought them here to take them back from whence they came.
We will not cave in to EX Governor Hunt and those other activists groups who are making this demand. We will hound our representatives until they throw up their hands in defeat. OR--we will DEFEAT them!"POWER TENDS TO CORRUPT AND ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY." Sir John Dalberg-Acton

One of the alleged suspects in the London bombing was a graduate student in NC, studying chemical engineering (gee, that may be helpful in building chemical weapons). I wonder if he demanded in-state tuition?

I did hear, last night, that this person attended NC State for a year and studied Chemical Engineering as you stated, Steve. I had not previously been able to find out exactly which college he had attended. You're probably right--In State tuition!! Here we go again. Maybe we should keep that information in our "file" to use the next time the In State tuition issue raises its ugly head in our legislature.

As Jim Hunt says that would make him "one of North Carolina's children now."

Perhaps we could interest the former Guv into adopting a few. We have plenty to spare.

We could sure try it! But, first he will need to acknowledge paternity. I bet, once he finds out HE is going to be the one to have to support all of those poor kids, he'll rethink his position on in-state tuition. Isn't he too old to still be meddling in state politics?????????

ICE should try the same tactic here that they used to round up the illegals at Seymour Johnson AFB. Just represent themselves as being with the Department of Education instead of OSHA and invite prospective illegal students and their parents to a meeting hall to discuss in-state tuition for "undocumented aliens". Then when the room is full put the grabs on them
