By the way, Americans haven't built America to what it is today. Slaves and immigrant labor did it. The high rises, the White House, the roads. People who started off at the very bottom of America's social ladder built America - people who weren't even considered American built America. I can give you sources, at your request, for your perusal.

Americans did build America to what is is today! Slave laborers were used to build a good portion of our structures. And LEGAL immigrants also helped build. But generations of Americans citizens have made our country what it is today. Not illegal immigrants!

U.S. citizens did build this country, be it people whose ancestors have been here for 300+years or in the last 100 years, we are a country made up of nationalities from all over the world, Some of us have ancestors who fought in the war of 1812,Revolutionary war, civil war, Spanish American war,war against slavery and so on. It is called Nation Building, and our ancestors built this nation, we were born here and we are not immigrants.We realize some have come in the last several years who are not native born but who are here legally, there for they have a right to be here.
But the ones that built this nation not only built the infrasturcture, we have worked together as a nation to accomplish a middle class, so we could afford to build schools for our children, businesses,own homes, afford medical, vaccinate our children against desease and so no.
What you do not understand is we worked together to accomplish these things, our forefathers stood together in picket lines fighting corporations for better wages, benefits, etc, building unions and feeding their families on a mere couple dallors a week for a fair wage. We Americans did this by standing together. Now we have a 3rd world country coming in and basicly saying screw you and everything you and your families worked for. If Mr. U.S. citizen is working for you for $15.00 an hour I'll do it for $7.00 an hour and if you can't make it well to bad for him!! and while illegals are doing this they expect us to pay for their Education,Medical, etc. Oh and to hell with your lawful society, were not use to having to obey laws.
We made our sacrifices in this country, you all need to go home and build your own country and make those sacrifices so you appriciete it and do not feel like it is owed to you. WE give aid to Mexico along with the rest of the world , we do not owe you our country, It is for our children!!!!

OH AND EDUCATE YOURSELF ABOUT ELLIS ISLAND!! Alot of people where turned back to their homelands. criminals or sick people!! but no we are now expected to take just anybody from south of the border!!

ASK me the tax payer if I want to further threaten my child's economic future by allowing invaders to plunder the treasury.

This reminds me of interviewing the bank robber and asking if should be allowed to make unauthirized withdrawls from your bank account.

Call me all the names you can think, but this is OUR country, and if you like it so much, go home and change from within.

And I applaud your family for building America. America is a nation of immigrants. If you can trace the nationality of your descendants, then you are a descendant of an immigrant. Consequently, America was built through immigrant labor.

Interesting fact that you reply reminded me of: Slaves at one point outnumbered white Americans in South Carolina during the early 1800s. People of course were afraid that there would be slave revolt, but I digress.

Of course slaves made up a small percentage of America, but I do not think that you can say that they did not work extensively on government buildings, railroads, the economy (especially in the South), etc.

While you're speaking of SLAVES, how about you speak of all the SLAVE NATIONS that exist today while the USofA is dumping money around the world to help end it? Why not speak of Africa, where the slave trade is still in existance? How about in the Islamic nations? China? North Korea?

It was one sentence that was an aside at best and which we are currently and unnecessarily focusing on since it misses the overall point of the original post. And I corrected my original statement since it was not clear and I hope it is now.

I said nothing about reparations. I said nothing about America's (and the entire world's) "sin". All I said was that slaves and immigrant labor built America. Slaves also built the pyramids in Egypt. Slave labor is commonplace through out the world.

Our educational system is being further eroded by catering to NON CITIZENS, ILLEGAL ALIENS thru entitlements that Americans are paying for. Should these people choose to better themselves, then they had better high tail it back where they belong and improve their own nations.
You see, human nature being what it is..........they are merely bringing their corruption, crime and violence with them and turning each area where they settle into the same from which they ran.

In what way is the education system being eroded by illegal aliens? I'd like to hear your input on this since I just posted on how they made a small fraction of the student population.

Furthermore, I also gave a proposition that would force illegal alien children, upon legal adulthood, being forced to pay back the American taxpayer dollars for their education. What do you think about that?

And you should be angry, as should every American. "If they aren't angry, they haven't been listening."The question is, when are they going to wake up? When it is too late? We have to make sure that doesn't happen, and just keep up the fight.

Excellent post. Our parents, grandparents, great grand-parents down the line fought for our great country. They fought for a nation to have a middle-class. They fought so Americans can have good wages. They fought so medical coverage would be common-place. They fought to have clean air and water. They fought to have safe work environments. Corporate America is pissing away what our predecesors fought for and won. The great nation that they sacrificed for us to have. Its just more "efficient" to not have all of these great things. Its better to save nickels and dimes on Chinese made products and lettuce picked by illegals. "Efficient" for Wall Street, but our nation is going down the toilet. We are turning into Mexico in every way. Corrupt ruling class and all.

Yes, discussion maybe ok, but we can talk this to death, like our politicians, and nothing is accomplished.

Americans have had quite enough and want action. CommonGeorge, you are right.

Bush is running all over the World, giving Billions in foreign aid, to Countries that don't give a twit about us, except for the money they get....I've come to the conclusion that diplomacy, is us giving foreigners our jobs and dollars....and in my opinion America gets blackmailed by these Countries all the time.....I want, I want , give me, give me...do we stand beside you...NO. That's what these Countries say and I'm sick of it.
