Thread: Talk Radio Host Al Rantel endorses Rudy Giuliani

I think many of us know Rudy Giuliani's weak record fighting illegal immigration, and his belief in a "pathway to citizenship" (i.e., amnesty) for illegal immigrants. Unfortunately, Al Rantel just announced that he supports Giuliani for president. Bill Simon, from the Giuliani campaign, is on Al's show now (11/1, 6:30pm PT) if you want to call in.

Wow I'm surprised. I didn't hear the show but Al is definitely an anti-illegal guy. In fact he is one of my favorites. When it comes right down to it he is our only option. Tancredo,Hunter and Paul will not get the nomination. Where do we go?

Do you have an email address for this guy? Someone needs to set him straight on the realities of the illegal immigration and border security issue. Giuliani is the worse possible choice!

You know I really respect Al as he has been a very strong vocal advocate agaist illegal immigration. I am going to assume that he may have fallen for the "Only Rudy can beat Hillary" MSN bunk. We really need to e-mail him to see what he is thinking before we stomp on one of our own.

I completely agree. Al Rantel is definitely on our side here. His reasoning must be that Rudy will do less damage, maybe even a little good, than Hillary.

The fence is being built (ever so slowly), so Giuliani needs only to finish building it, which Hillary might stop, and enforce current immigration law. The rest falls on congress to add any additional measures to beat this problem.

It is www.AlRantel.com. He is SO on our side. I believe he has had William on his show along with other guests who are anti-illegal immigration. I truly believe people feel that Rudy may be our only hope in the fight against Hilary. Hilary will be a nightmare,infact any Dem will be worse than a republican...on the other hand thats what I said last election....Anyway Al Rantel is great, not sure why he is endorsing Rudy other than the fact that he is electable.

Bill Simon was on with him the first hour. He is the deep pockets California chairman for Giuliani.

What Rantel has to be told is that he no longer has ANY credibility on the illegal immigration issue on KABC or anywhere else.

It is important that KABC be flooded with emails. Especially from Southern California ... tell him you have a list of his sponsors and you are NOT going to patronize them any longer ... in fact you are going to email THEM too.

This is outrageous what is happening on Southern California radio ... first John & Ken, then that doofus Dennis Miller, now Al Rantel.

If I was the conspiracy-type I'd think .... oh, well forget it.

I was thinking the same thing. I knew John and Ken had been supporting Giuliani for a while. Not sure about a "conspiracy," but something is up.....Maybe immigration just sells and keeps the public in their camp, but in their heart of hearts, these guys are just neocon Bush boys.
